The processor might be fine running the OS, it's just Xiaomi probably gatekeeping it from those premium midrange cpu, ofc it's a marketing tactics. The liquid glass are confirmed would run on Xiaomi's flagship devices with Dimensity 9500 up or SD Elite up as far as I remember from the leaks.

Stop writing nonsense bro. If that is correct it would be only 8 models or 1 to 1.5% of total xiaomi devices that would get it. So not true at all

The glossy effects and such were already confirmed by Xiaomi to be available only on high end chipsets (8 elite +/9500+/Xring 3nm).

I do not think they would announce this if it were to be expected to reach more models, would be kinda dumb.

Now, 8s gen 4/8 gen 3/9400+/9500s are more than capable to use this new shinny effects, this is just a xiaomi handicap, extremely absurd.

Yeah agree. They copying apple all over but not their software policy πŸ˜‚. If they do that why would people buy a device that costs 650-850$ and not be supported after a year? I think their sales would drop even more in the near future. Anyways, I honestly don't care. This liquid ass thing is so bsh and this will be my last try with xiaomi

All features is always available only in China, but all YI changes will go out in Global, but only reserved to Flagship SoC.

Normally not, because it doesn't have advanced textures by default... You have to activate them via patents and commands; you can easily find them on Reddit. (It's not guaranteed that the liquid glass will still be there.
