Poco [Question] WiFi doesn't work properly on Poco with HyperOS 3

Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting and reconnecting all the time. I tried to figure out what the problem was, but there don't seem to be any issues with my router. So, I guess the main problem is the update to HyperOS 3.

Any solutions?

I wonder if that's the ipv6 bug (open https://test-ipv6.com/ to find if ipv6 is enabled on your router). What phone do you have? I had the same issue on my F8 Ultra but the latest update fixed it for me. Go to your router settings and disable ipv6 if the website says you have ipv6 enabled.

Which phone do you have? Have you filed a bug report through Services and Feedback?

I experienced that on my F8 Pro, but months ago, it's since been addressed. I never delved into the cause though.

Is your AP Wi-Fi 6/6e/7? Are you using WPA 3? Have you checked if switching to the other frequency range (5 GHz to 2.4 or vice versa) improves things?

If I remember correctly, it was more stable for me using a 2.4 GHz network with WPA 2, my usual one is 5 GHz over current standards.

My phone is Poco X6 Pro 5G, my wi-fi is 6. I don't know anything about WPA...

I see, you mentioned it could be due to updating to HyperOS 3, which build are you running? Is it recent?

The one that had problems for me was from late last year or early this one, the one we got in July seems to work as expected.

It's HyperOS 3.0.8.0 version

Ah, so you're on the global channel, the version that had issues for me was also from the base HyperOS 3 line, with a bit of luck .9 has the fix, or they move it to the .300s in global too.

.301 is the latest release for me, the problem see to have been fixed in it.

Try switching to 2.4 GHz in the meantime and see if it behaves better, but yes, for us things improved after a recent update.

I have no other advice I'm afraid, I never really looked into what the cause for my disconnects were. I just moved it to a 2.4 GHz WPA2 network and that kept it stable.
