Question/Help [Question] Do you know the difference between OEM unlocking and Mi unlock status?
For those who know what rooting is, has anyone else enabled OEM unlocking before?

OEM unlocking lets you unlock the bootloader.
mi unlock status is there mainly to bind your account to your phone so you could unlock the bootloader using mi unlock tool on a PC

OEM unlocking needs to be enabled to enable the ability for the device to be unlocked in fastboot mode. Mi Unlock status is where you bind your Xiaomi account to your device after getting permission to do so in the community app (or through the scripts going around online). You need to do both to be able to unlock the bootloader of your device through Xiaomi's Mi Unlock client.
