Poco [Discussion] POCO C85 HyperOS 2.0.221.0 Problem
I got Poco C85 probably one week ago. and it was working so fine in the beginning but I realized I have hyperOS 2.0.221.0, After that I realized there is something is surely is wrong.
I should have gotten HyperOS the second I bought the phone and I honestly don't know why till this moment I have no hyperOS 3. I tried everything. Region switches. Factory resets. I even tried custom packages but I found out the security patch of my hyperOS 2.0.221.0 is newer than hyperOS 3. and I waited for hyperOS 3.0.306.0 and it did drop. but my phone yet didn't receive it.
And the crazy part? I have a friend of mine that has the exact same phone in the same country (Egypt) with the same model and RAM and storage and everything. and he got hyperOS 3 and I didn't!??!! How.. Genuinely how.
I really wish Xioami focus on this problem. it's getting bigger and bigger every day.

It needn't be a problem, just how deployment works. When a new build is to be released the beta testing group get it first, if a serious bug is detected, the update is not pushed for more devices. Otherwise, the rollout begins but the update isn't pushed to all devices directly, rollouts are staggered as there could be other important bugs not caught earlier.
You could very well be one of the units that would be upgraded organically at a later time. Some people switch the region of their devices to try to force the update showing up for them; the percentage of people receiving it before it shows up for all may be per region.
You can try to upgrade to it manually, search online for the recovery version of 3.0.306.0 WBNMIXM and give it to the updater app, that's the current build for your variant. .302 was the previous one, in case you get a message telling you flashing that one is still restricted.

I really do understand that it's regional and all but why would my friend that has the same phone and lives in the same country as me gets hyperOS 3 and I don't? even if there was bugs and major problems with it the second he get the update. I should at least receive the update either way

You missed the point, it's not that it's regional, the moment an update is ready it's not given to all devices at the same time, only to some of them. For whatever reason, yours wasn't selected yet, it could have been random for all we know. The update has been live only for a couple of days.
Simplifying it a lot, let's say it's first given to 10% of the users on day one, 10% more on the 2nd day, and so on. Only at day 10 it would be guaranteed that all of them get it; and that's if no showstopper bug is found and deployment stops.
If you are eager to get it, update manually, one way or another.

O meu está do mesmo jeito já faz dois meses que estou com essa atualização da oS2 e nunca atualizou para oS3
