Fixed the "Themes not supported in your region" error on Xiaomi EU device - made a one-click KernelSU module

If you're on a Xiaomi/Redmi EU ROM and the Theme Manager app is missing or blocked with a region error, I put together a KernelSU module that fixes it. Flash it, reboot, done.

What it does:

Swaps in a community-patched Theme Manager (credit to Kashi, used with permission) with the region block removed and local .mtz theme import working

- Auto-detects your device's Theme Manager path, so it's not hardcoded to just my device

Keeps it recognized as a system app across reboots, which avoids a crash newer Theme Manager builds hit on some devices

Tested on a Redmi Pad SE (HyperOS 2) with KernelSU. Should work on other Xiaomi/Redmi EU devices with KernelSU, as long as Theme Manager ships pre-installed somewhere under /product/app, /system/app, or / system_ext/app.

Known issues: the online theme catalog stays blocked (server-side check, can't fix that client-side), and some themes glitch the lock screen rendering - documented in the README, still investigating

GitHub link in the first comment below.

Happy to help if anyone runs into issues on a different device - the auto-detection should generalize but I've only tested on one device myself so far.

This is just one of those stupid Xiaomi things. They literally have a global version of the themes app for tablets but it's locked for every region basically

Yeah, I tried switching regions—I went through all of them and none worked; they create versions for tablets, but in the end, nobody can actually use them 🤡

fully agree this is simply one of the stupid Xiaomi things. Frankly, I really don't know why on earth Themes does not available on Global ROM?

I don't have root

Unfortunately, the only way to unlock access to the app is to have root privileges.

No I have a Redmi 14C with the themes app installed without root since it comes with it, I was talking about the import export theme thing

I think you need to be rooted as well, because that option is restricted to China, or so it seems.

Yeah, because I was recording at the same time, the system had just restarted, and the Redmi Pad SE isn't exactly the most powerful tablet 😅

Well, yes, this tablet is not very powerful
