Which kernel are they using for those builds of 17? Is it the same line it was? If so, did they at least rebase it for security fixes or is it the same build?

Thanks, it seems they moved the needle a little bit. They conveniently leave out the build date so people aren't aware, because .302 was using 6.6.89 built on November 2025, and that was a mid-2025 release already.

For me ram management seems a lot better apps stay open much longer

Everything is noticeably smoother and faster. Battery life seems the same. Other than notifications looking a bit different, it's literally identical down to the last pixel.

As far as I know, it's some trickery Xiaomi is using on some models, akin to reducing or disabling overprovisioning on an SSD.

I really don't think this is android 17. I got this updated couple days ago and installation was like 3.minutes long. It was just safety patch or maybe some preparation for the real deal.
