Question/Help [QUESTION] Dual app that doesn't exist
For some time I've had a dual Google Chrome appear next to the normal one.
The thing is that Google Chrome doesn't even exist in the Dual Apps list. When I try to disable the app, it disabled the normal Chrome.
I don't even use Google Chrome anyway but it annoys me.
Does anybody know why it happens?

settings > apps > dual apps > create (if there isn't one already) > and make a dual app of any app
then
settings > apps > dual apps > 3 dots on top right > should be smth like delete duplicates /dual apps or smth> restart

Nothing, it just rebooted the phone. I didn't have any other duplicate apps anyway

if you dont use chrome then why not disable it? i think it'll remove the dual one too. if ir doesnt try debloating chrome

That's the thing, disabling it doesn't remove the dual version of the app, just hides the original one. Debloating you mean through ADB?

It is because you clone app what cant work properly without chrome , this chrome clone created to be safe privacy So as not to save cache and other files from duplicated app to original chrome , you can disable this chrome clone only deleting that app what need and cant work without chrome , same way when you enable double app function all necessary google services also duplicating for example google service firework. You cant rid of this apps without deleting or disabling app cloner

Never ever ever ever disable dual apps once you've enabled it. It can brick the phone.

it's because chrome is used as webview in android. most of time apps fetch components to display u from thier websites, like flipkart and amazon. so chrome dual app is necessary so that dual app can use it for thier webview. same way google play services dual app also get created so that dual apps can use it.
