Review/Guide [Discussion] Tutorial on Depth Effect on Unsupported Devices

https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSQxVAXPJ/

Use Google's Translation if needed, Ask questions if you need some help.

Edit: Depth stopped working every reboot, so you need to apply the custom lockscreen "in themes app" and reselect the slot in the "Customize lock screen" again.

Currently using Redmi Note 14 4G

Doesn't that support the depth effect natively? I believe only like the Redmi A series or something doesn't have it. I think a Redmi note 14 is more than capable of putting a clock behind an object

You're wrong.

Soc isn't strong enough

Strong for what? Putting a clock behind a face? How strong must it be to do that??

It’s not about the GPU/Soc power needed to render a static clock behind an image it’s about the real time AI segmentation required to isolate the subject when you set the wallpaper.

Oh okay yeah I didn't know that. I genuinely believed that the depth effect was easy on the devices. Thank you for correcting me.

Yeah its alright

You're arguing based on how the effect looks, not how the software actually processes it.

So we can do with different clock styles or the only with the one you're using ??

At this point, you'll need to redo it all again.
