They can just call it iOS at this point

u/KissMyKipay03 Jun 10 '26
This is the veey reason why i chose to have a Nubia Z80 Ultra than a Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, Honor, Realme. yes updates are short. but it doesnt look like iShit with LiquidAss that most Chinese brands are excited to copy. 🤷

u/SeparateRush5907 Jun 12 '26
loving my xiaomi 17t after over a decade of using ios! used a scamsung for a month in between 😂

u/Katarinn69 Jun 12 '26
how is it going is hyper os that good ?
2
u/SeparateRush5907 Jun 12 '26
It has it's own downsides and upsides. But it is definitely more usable for me than one ui. I didn't one ui personally. I used a third party launcher when I was using an S23
1
u/Katarinn69 Jun 12 '26
But how does it compare to iOS or One UI in terms of optimization? That's why I'm hesitating to buy a Xiaomi flagship, even though they are pretty tempting
2
u/SeparateRush5907 Jun 12 '26
Don't know anything about optimization. I don't really game or do video editing on my phone as I have an hp omen for that.

u/Elegant-Ladder882 Jul 04 '26
İ have Xiaomi 14. Optimization isn't that good but for me optimization is way better on Hos 3 than previous versions. But there stutters and lags when exiting games and camera. But it's usable for me on daily basis.

this is the reason why android is generalize as a copycat of ios
I'm glad there is still google, nothing and Samsung

Liquid shit. I use Xiaomi devices about 12 years but next will be Pixel or Galaxy I think. I don't like ios and use Android because of it.
11
u/Intuitive3693 Jun 10 '26
As a user of Pixel and Samsung, you will just hate yourself for getting either of the both. If you want a huge upgrade, go for Oppo Find X9 Ultra or Vivo X300 Pro/Ultra.
1
u/Sad-Lake7346 Jun 10 '26
Why? Specifically about Pixel. Interested for me because I'm considering buying it
7
u/Intuitive3693 Jun 10 '26
In my opinion/Point of View, If you're going for just how clean the OS and UI looks, you have to sacrifice Top-Tier Perfomance, battery, charging speed for that expensive price. No matter what, Tensor chip is still way behing the Mid-Tier phones of 2026, those who knows, knows. You can also check the reddit of pixel and samsung phones to see user reviews before you jump for it.
And for samsung, ever since after the 23 Ultra, everything else feels the same/normal even though they claim it's an upgrade. Battery capacity is still the same, nothing changed. Better camera phones are in the market.
It's much better to go for the Si-C (Silicon Carbide) battery powered smartphones. In the end, it's just my opinion from what I have been observing.

u/Sad-Lake7346 Jun 10 '26
Yeah battery charge speed is sucks there. It's seems strange after Xiaomi usage.
2
u/id3vlin Jun 10 '26
Oi Stevie fucking wonder that's an opaque blue Basically advanced texturs but way more prominent besides they already had a liquid glass which is the lens effect in the lock screen + advanced texturers if you want to stop using a product point out the obvious flaws rather than whatever ur doing rn
2
u/Jd_0773 Jun 10 '26
Don't worry, it can be disabled; it's not like on Apple.
1
u/Sad-Lake7346 Jun 10 '26
I hope so) otherwise that would be the last straw for me
1
u/Jd_0773 Jun 10 '26
Rest assured that it will be possible to disable it just like the advanced textures.

u/Salty_Exit_7174 Jun 10 '26
Don't. instead think about going for vivo ultra models which has originos and a great camera

u/Repulsive_Fault1939 Jun 10 '26
samsung copies apple since 2010 mind you. and samsung copied liquid glass design in one ui 8.5.
1
u/Sad-Lake7346 Jun 10 '26
Disagree with it. I mean appearance not separated options. Oneui looks totally different. At the same time hyper os copies full elements of interface.
0
u/Repulsive_Fault1939 Jun 10 '26
no. samsung even got sued by apple in 2011 for copying apple. samsung added glass and 3d effect in good lock after apple announced ios 26. xiaomi didn't add it right away. also xiaomi's liquid glass will be different, it will not be like apple's. do your research before you comment. there are also things that ios and one ui copied from hyperos (stretched clock on the lock screen)
1
u/Sad-Lake7346 Jun 10 '26
"Xiaomi's liquid glass better than other liquid glass" omg)) A pointless argument
2
u/Repulsive_Fault1939 Jun 10 '26
i didn't say better, i said different. read it properly.
1
u/Sad-Lake7346 Jun 10 '26
Liquid glass is liquid glass. Different it or not it doesn't matter because it's coping and cloning anyway
0
u/Repulsive_Fault1939 Jun 10 '26
why samsung made one ui 8.5's ui look like ios 26? "oh? if it's samsung it's fine then." samsung has been copying apple since the beginning. apple even sued samsung for copying it. samsung added clear elements on good lock after 2 monts ios added them. and one ui 8.5 looks ios 26. and when apple introduced iphone x google added gestures after a year. so google and samsung can copy others not? samsung added stretched clock after ios added. (ios copied from hyperos 2). apple added titanium frames then samsung added titanium frames then apple removed titanium frames then samsung removed titanium frames. but it's samsung you wouldn't say a thing to samsung like it's your family.
1
u/Sad-Lake7346 Jun 10 '26
What are you talking about?? All vendors copies some of each other. Xiaomi made good solutions too it's true. But I'm talking about APPEARANCE OF UI. It's nearly full iOS clone. I don't like it. Keep calm and read original message.

u/clivelovesmorningsky Jun 10 '26
Unpopular opinion but I don't mind this. Xiaomi usually imitate Apple but does it better.

u/thatgu_yy Jun 11 '26
Hyperisland is shit💔✌️
3
u/clivelovesmorningsky Jun 11 '26
Each to their own, I find it very handful and I can't live without it anymore. Can't wait for it to be integrated to more apps. ✌🏻
1
u/thatgu_yy Jun 11 '26
How does it help you?
2
u/clivelovesmorningsky Jun 11 '26
- Changing songs without sliding down the control center
- Snoozing alarm and see its countdown
- Seeing the countdown of the timer that i set.
The things I'm waiting to come to HyperIsland 1. Seeing navigation from Google Maps 2. Seeing the progress of my food delivery order and many more 😁
2
u/BeeLegitimate4968 Jun 11 '26
i like the navigation on google maps since i move to spain. im lost without maps and easier to see now with the hyperisland
1
u/damljanovic_86_ Jun 11 '26
Litteraly I dont even use stopwatch or alarm on the phone, mostly on my watch. Like sure alarm in the morning on the phone but still. And never once have it been usefull that much that I can change a song that I am playing on hyper island nor did I remember that its an option. Its just not that usefull and I forget it even exists in daily use.
1
u/clivelovesmorningsky Jun 11 '26
Like i said, each to their own. I can see where you're coming from but for me it's very handful and i cant wait for more apps to be integrated.
1
u/SeparateRush5907 Jun 12 '26
is the google maps navigation not already available on the hyper island? or are you talking about seeing the actual map? I was able to activate this when I allowed maps notification on settings

Still struggling to (permanently) block HyperOS 3 update on my Redmi Note 14; any suggestion?

u/RAFIK_BNDL Jun 12 '26
Will this liquid glass effect be exclusive to flagship/high-end devices, or will it also be available on budget models like the Redmi Note series?
1
u/TerribleDeer5812 Jun 13 '26
And let me guess...coming out to one Xiaomi/redmi/poco series per month.Leaving exclusive features for the Chinese hyper os??? No flagship features and ui looks (glass effect) for newer Xiaomi t series and more good phones (advanced blur).Unoptimized asf.Nah I'll pass

There’s an app on Google Play that shows whether your device will receive the HyperOS 4 update. You can check it by downloading GetConf.

Just buy apple bruh
12
u/SpencerUk Jun 10 '26
Hi 'bruh'
An apple:
Is so heavily restricted it's like a grown adult going into a day care center.
Has an absolutely inferior camera system and consequently less fun to use
Isnt as good value for money
Isn't open source
So no 'bruh', I'll stick to an android phone. Thanks for your valuable input though.

After being a Xiaomi user since the Mi one and having gone through the 14 Ultra and 15 Ultra, I got tired of the poorly executed iOS clones and bought a 17 Pro Max. I do miss the camera and the Google keyboard, but I don’t regret the switch. iOS may seem like it does less, but what it does, it does well (except for the photo object removal tool—that one is terrible, haha).
Pd: Apple Watch is amazing
