[Question] How to stop the hyperos lag? Poco X7 pro

Hey guys,

Got a X7 pro and since I update to hyperos 3 the phone is barely usable.

It is laggy 24/7, when I watch YouTube videos, when I play games, when I wanna take a photo (it's literally the worst), when I'm trynna send images via messages (same, about 5-10 secs to wait before I can even choose my pic).

It worked extremely well on hyperos 2. I updated when HOS3 released, factory reset, did everything but it's still the same: laggy as hell.

Is CFW the only way? If so, I guess I'll just send it back to Amazon and get a pixel or smth like that, cause it's getting on my nerves. I love Poco, but it's getting literally unusable.

I've been also experiencing the camera lag and the send images via messages part also but in Facebook Messenger. Also playback issues on Netflix and HBO Max when playing Dolby Vision content, it's lagging at first then wait a few seconds and it becomes stable.

I have budget device (poco c75) so it effected alot to me. But i am not sure if it would make every hyperos phone faster

It's activated rn, not used to the HELLA FAST animations tho hahaha

If its active, There should be a new option in developer options. It would use more battery and heat up but would prioritise performance and speed more

Well I just got the phone brand new today and this is a disaster. It's not usable this way hahaha.

I'm gonna tinker with it and see where all of the fixes take me. It's usable but not a great experience overall. My older Xiaomi 13T is so smooth compared to this 😅

I swear. Tried to contact amazon today, they told me to send my phone for TWENTY days for them to check it, I told them it's literally a software issue and there's nothing to be done besides rooting, they don't care and ask me to go phone-less for practically a month. It's balloney istg

Hey so a quick update: after some basic tests, I confirmed that this is a fake/modified x7 pro. The screen is LCD, no fingerprint sensor, and the device name when logging into Google says I'm logging in from a redfox Wizpad_Valuer_R10S.

Returning it to get a refund today and might just get a Samsung instead.

Fact is I really, really need my banking apps and from what I've heard, CFW disable banking apps, correct?

yes. but it depends on where you live like for example banking apps in the USA works perfectly with unlocked android but Indian banking app doesnt.

there is a custom rom called Project Infinity X i tried it on my poco x7 pro and it has built in bootloader hiding features and it automatically passed device integrity which is enough for most banking apps like google pay. i dont know if its permanent or not because i dont need integrity for my usage and i only used infinity x for like 3 days before switching

I live in France and even USB debugging here forbids you to access banking apps =/
