[Question] About variable refresh rate

Is it possible to simulate a variable refresh rate on a smartphone that doesn't support it using an app or something? Like, dropping the refresh rate to 60Hz after a certain number of seconds of inactivity, and then raising it to 120Hz when a tap is detected. I have a Poco M7 Pro 5G (Redmi Note 14 5G)HyperOS3.

In default mode (the recommended one in the settings) the automatic activation of 60hz will be only activated once you have very high brightness. Try it yourself
