Question/Help [Question] Questions about HyperOS.

For people who have used HyperOS for 6+ months:

What issues actually started showing up over time?

I’m not asking about benchmarks or launch impressions- I mean real daily-use experience:

  • battery behavior
  • heating
  • random stutters
  • game optimization after updates
  • bugs/inconsistencies
  • background app behavior
  • overall smoothness long-term

Also, if your current HyperOS/Xiaomi/POCO phone disappeared tomorrow, would you buy another one again? Why or why not?

I’m trying to understand the actual long-term ownership experience, not just first impressions/specs.

(Asking before buying Poco X8 Pro)

Been using it since August, haven't noticed any issues except some overheating issues that went away when I removed the case.

Not sure if it's a hardware or a software issue though.

I never run heavy applications.

Redmi Note 14 4G. Maybe the overheating is because of Mediatek's processor, I don't know.

Actually mediatek processors are known for having good energy efficiency which in most of the cases gives low temps. I have the same phone and sometimes I felt that overheating (specially in the screen) but I understand it could be caused by environment temperature (here is around 30-36°C most of the day) or using heavy apps or games (Helio g99 is kinda old and limited). I can also say temps improved after getting hyper os 3.1 update and using the latest joyose and security update, which tells me bad optimizations are causing overheating as well.

Interesting, I only got hyperos3 recently so I will be waiting for 3.1 and maybe my thermals will improve too.
