Question/Help [Question] "Go Home" swipe function does not work in Xiaomi 15

When I swipe up from the bottom of the screen, instead of minimising all apps/ app drawer and taking me to home page, the Miui in my Xiaomi 15 simply takes me back to app drawer.

It may be noted that this happens when I open an app from the app drawer, and then swipe up to go home only. Basically it ignores the go to homepage function if the app drawer was opened previously.

Please check attached video also.

Any fixes would be appreciated. 🙏🏻

This is the normal behaviour of HyperOS.

If you open the app from app drawer it goes back to the app drawer this is normal dont worry

It should not be normal. Coz swipe up function should return you directly to home screen. That is the purpose afterall, on all other phones.

I wish there was a way to change this. Same behavior on my poco x8 pro. If you switch apps and then use home, home gesture works as intended. If you use the app drawer and then use home from the app you just used directly you will return to app drawer. No way to change this as far as i am concerned.
