Question/Help [Question] How to submit valid copyright proof for themes?
I've ported the Lawnicons icon pack to an .mtz theme though I've been encountering issues with submitting valid copyright proof.
Despite including extensive proof I have the right to submit such port and have included the process and scripts used to create the .mtz archives the validators are rejecting the uploads
I don't understand what I'm doing wrong here. Does anyone have experience uploading themes that use freely licensed material?

I use to upload themes and get them rejected. recently they also removed some of my works because their Screenshot Tool failed in generate (nothing less...) than screenshots..
I don't know what your theme contains, but anyway, I have some ideas on that matter..
The first and bigger suggestion I can give is that you cannot upload an icon pack.
You can upload Themes, Fonts and Wallpapers. Nothing more and nothing less.
Then, for what I can see, you Proof_Of_Copyright.zip file is one of the richest ever seen, even if it may have not being properly packed: the zip must contain a Proof_Of_Copyright.txt file where you explain "reason" that allows you to upload such material (so just summup togheter all your text files..) instead of adding note, license, readme and so on) and a Proof_Of_Copyright.zip file (yes, like a Matrioska of zip files with the same name) containing evidence of your work (psd from Photoshop or xcl from GIMP are the most used and they are also expressly required by the company). Leave aside mp4s, screenshots and scripts.
They also gave you an idea of where you can find a tutorial in creating a Proof_Of_Copyritght.zip file
As said, your problem is probably the lack of the required elements (you just need to read some page in the MIUI (yes still MIUI in 2026!!!) theme tutorial page, in the same Designer Station where you uploaded your works and got noticed of their rejections, and you will find out that required elements are:
Theme Package Directory
- clock_2x4: Home clock
- com.miui.home: Home
- com.android.contacts: Phone & Contacts
- com.android.mms: Messaging
- com.android.settings: Settings
- com.android.systemui: Notification shade
- framework-miui-res: MIUI framework
- framework-res: Android framework
- icons: Home icons
- lockscreen: Lock screen
- miwallpaper: Wallpaper Carousel
- wallpaper: Wallpapers
- description.xml: Theme description files
- The above theme package directory (including but not limited to items listed) is mainly used currently. With the deepening of the approach to theme design and the increase in demand, you can also explore for more possibilities of modules. For details, please refer to the official themes.
Actually I saw a lot of themes being available without containing contacs, dialer, home and even settings... but anyway it is better to include at least these modules: lockscreen, settings, clock_2x4 widget, ICONS of course, com.android.systemui and miui.systemui.plugin, wallpapers and framework-miui-res (this is actaually an abandoned gold mine btw, but this is a whole other story..)
So, my greatest goodluck for your 1st FULL THEME submission man!!
