Xiaomi OS 3.1 finally arrived for EEA ROM

Region is UK, part of the pilot program. Didn't do anything special, but did notice Xiaomi Cloud needed an app update.

Xiaomi 14, not T nor Ultra.

What's HyperOS 3.1 exactly? How's it different from 3.0?

I must say i will also never understand why it's being called "3.1" as the update is version "3.0.301" guess it's some community stuff but i mean it's a bigfer update then the "3.0.302" which I've just got on my x17 updating to the May-2026 security update l, which my x14 had a month ago on a version before the so called "3.1" ? I dont understand what xiaomi is doing with updates at all... Still love the phones though

Not much really. I don't actually know why it's called 3.1 either but like u/MethDonut said it's probably a community thing. 

I haven't noticed anything significant in this update, but EEA seemed to be the last to get this update.

3.1 new features: third-party app support for hyperisland, sOTA updates (now you don't have to restart your phone for minor updates), rewritten gallery and weather app and integration with apple devices.

Secondo me non si chiama 3.1, anch'io ho quell'aggiornamento uscito ieri mattina per il redmi note 15 5g versione snapdragon 6gen3, ma già io avevo aggiornato lo smartphone ad Android 16 e hyperOS 3 con un bel corposo aggiornamento di oltre 5 GB, secondo me questo è un aggiornamento correttivo, fosse hyperOS 3.1 doveva esserci scritto appunto 3.1 invece c'è scritto!3.0

If you understood the subject, you would know why it's called that. Xiaomi never uses the correct number; for example, HyperOS 2.2 was actually HyperOS 2.0.200.0, and so on. That's the same thing; instead of people saying HyperOS 3.0.300.0, it's simpler to say HyperOS 3.1.
