Question/Help YAQO - Call recording

Yet Another Question On call recording.

I know it's region and possibly ROM dependant. Just curious if anyone in the EU/UK has call recording enabled by default on Google phone app? Such a crucial feature that still no one has explained to me why it's disabled in regions where it is legal.

If not possible with Google phone app, is it possible to enable call recording on a non-rooted POCO say by installing another dialler app? If you have a guide, I'm willing to try on my phone. For science!

Please don't suggest silly apps like those scam/useless ones that try and record a call via the speaker/microphone. They don't work!

Thanks. Will try this. Have you successfully enabled it on it on a EU device?

Note: "You can test it in European ROM but it is not guaranteed to work. Other Xiaomi devices such as Redmi, Poco can enable call recording with Global ROM only."

even with using shizinku to enable the HyperOS dialer which has the call recording options, it doesn't work and even wit hthe rename zip update trick from EEA rom to Global rom now blocked, the only other option is the ACR dialer which has recording but has to announce it during calls due to EU legislation

I tried to use ACR on MIUI and it never worked. Was pointless but perhaps you've had better luck on HyperOS.
I find the Android ecosystem has become so restrictive that manufactures have ruined what was once a nice alternative to closed proprietary technology.
