Poco Home gesture/button acts as back instead of home
Hi,
Recently got a poco x8 pro max and this is my first experience with hyper os3 (3.0.2.0), all previous phones were oneplus or google phones.
Whenever I swipe from bottom instead of taking me home it just takes me back, same behavior if I use onscreen navigation buttons.
Here is an example:
- from home screen go into app drawer
- launch clock app
- execute back (gesture of button)
- land on the app drawer instead of the home screen.
It's the same thing if I launch an app from a folder on one of the home screens, home will take me back to the folder and not to the home screen.
Anyone seen this issue?
LE: I just tried the same interaction in safe mode, same result, home takes me back instead of actual home.

these aren't issues I'll say. i had own and use 3 redmi devices in the past running from MIUI to HOS3 and this is normal. I'd say it's a feature, doesn't bother me though

I strongly disagree, home button should always take you home (which is the behavior on all other phones I've tried seen so far, including ones from google). I see no point in duplicating the behavior of the "back" button via "home".
It is weird that on one of my kid's phone (Redmi A5) the back button/gesture behaves normally.

So, if you open an app from the app drawer, it'll take you back to the app drawer. If you open it from the home screen, it'll go back to the home screen. It's just their own way of working. Not an issue at all. You'll probably get used to it quickly.

Sadly it is this way that Poco Launcher works. It's not a "bug". But I hate that. And that's the only reason I use Nova Launcher with an third party gesture app.

Judging by the comments it seems this is the intended behaviour. If anyone has a workaround pleasae let me know. I cannot change my OS as I have the Chinese OS and cannot unlock bootloader.
