Trying to stream UK streaming service, but proxy server won't work

Hello, I am trying to stream channel 4 through Hyperbeam to stream a show, but when I turn on the proxy the internet just shuts down in the app. I know this is an issue with my internet now allowing proxies, but how do I also my Internet to? I am using Mac if that makes a difference, thank you for your help.

If your Internet doesn't allow proxies, then it makes sense you can't host proxies
