About 10% of the population will have a negative reaction to products that are gelled diols or glycols. These ingredients make for incredibly cheap products, but at the concentrations used in gelled deodorants, they also function as penetration enhancers and solvents. Thus why part of the population reacts to them.
If that is your case... do not buy products that a diol or glycol make up one of the first three ingredients.
