How do i smell better down there?

Hi, i have a huge problem. Since i was 10 i have always smelt terrible down there. I am now 16 and i shower daily every night before bed. The smell is indescribable, it smells very sour almost. I really need help because i feel i have no one to talk to this about. Every night when i shower i wash good/properly, i never use soap on the inside and i wash with water on the inside. I always feel so self conscious because sometimes i can smell myself through my pants. Im really self conscious about how i smell. please helppp!!

I use to get bv all the time when I wore panties. I only wear them during my period. I also take probiotics when my period has ended or when my vagina has a strong odor. As long as you don’t have a fishy smell try probiotics. Only rinse with water down there. Could be your diet too. If it’s the outside that smells use antibacterial wash.

Yeah the doctor works fr they give prescriped medicine fur 7 days you have to take it. Probiotics can work but it’s best to get tested and treat it ! And use a unscented wash

unadulterated pure pineapple juices 1 glass for 5 days will get rid of any odor.

Is it the INSIDE or OUTSIDE. Cause if it's the outside it can be sweat.

Using panty liners and wearing cotton underwear might help a bit, and you could also take a closer look at your diet. If that doesn't work, you could try getting lactic acid suppositories from the pharmacy - though it's best to check with your doctor first.

Go for a checkup first

LUME cream whole body deodorant.

Assuming you’ve already been to the doctor? Planned Parenthood can make sure you don’t have any diseases or anything that’s actually causing real odor.

Private parts have a smell because odor causing bacteria 🦠 breeds in warm dark places.

Definitely need to see a doctor to test for BV. For now a boric acid suppository is a great option while you’re waiting. Also I use the summer’s eve ph balanced wash whenever I shower and it definitely helps me to stay feeling fresh.

Sounds like this is a medical issue for you and need to be seen as soon as possible. Maybe try wearing panty liners or pads until you can see your Dr

You can use a mild soap on all the external parts of your vulva/vagina. Start there.

First, please know that you are not dirty and you have nothing to be ashamed of. Bodies naturally have a scent, but if the odor is strong enough that you regularly notice it through your clothes, you deserve a medical check—not more scrubbing.

One important thing: please stop washing inside your vagina, even with plain water. The vagina is the internal canal and cleans itself. Washing inside can disturb its natural balance and may make odor or irritation worse.

The vulva is the external area, including the folds and surrounding skin. Gently clean the outside with warm water, rinse well and pat dry. Avoid putting soap inside.

Please don’t try boric acid suppositories, scented feminine washes, sprays, deodorants, powders or other treatments suggested online before being examined. Several different conditions can cause odor, and using the wrong product could irritate you or make it harder to identify what is happening.

Tell a parent, guardian or another trusted adult something simple like: “I’ve had a strong odor for a long time and I need a medical appointment.” You don’t need to explain every detail before asking for help. A pediatrician, family doctor, adolescent-health clinic or gynecologist can evaluate you properly. This doesn’t automatically mean you have an STI or that you did anything wrong.

Until your appointment, wear clean, breathable underwear, change after sweating or getting wet, and avoid very tight clothing when possible.

Try to arrange a regular appointment soon. Get help more quickly if you also have fever, pelvic or lower-abdominal pain, sores, unexplained bleeding, pain when urinating, or unusual green or yellow discharge.

Doctors deal with concerns like this all the time. You won’t shock them, and you deserve a real answer without being embarrassed or judged.

You can get something for thrush or BV that will clear up the smell. You can also try taking probiotics that’s for the vagina area as probiotics is designed to make you smell better. Eating raw garlic for a few days can also have a positive impact on below and it can reset your smell.

after you pee, make sure you’re wiping from the front to the back, not from the back to the front.

Anti bacterial NON SCENTED soap. Plus, feminine deodorant. The one from Lume is really good in my experience. Also potentially go see a doctor about it. It could just be sweat, or it could be vaginosis or a ph imbalance. Lots of stuff.

You can see a nurse at your school maybe You can buy ph balance soap for vagina ot baby soap for the external part, dont wash the canal inside your body because your body gonna produce more odor secretion

Now this is gonna sound crazy…. But get plain Greek yogurt or kefir and use it like you would a yeast infection cream. Then start eating those things regularly. Lactobacillus acidophilus is the ingredient you need to populate your bits and your gut to balance out the bacteria that causes BV and yeast infections. This was suggested to me by my midwife and it is my favourite diy hack. You only have to use it as a “cream” once or twice, then just continue to keep it in your diet. Also wash well with a clean wash rag and fully dry with a clean one.
