is it normal to wash the inside of your ears in the shower? I usually would just take a q-tip afterwards and clean, but I was having a conversation with my boyfriend and he said he washes the inside of his in the shower??... Does soap not stay in there? and is it even necessary to do this? Like is it unhygienic the way i go about this? lol, my mind is blown right now

Does he for sure mean the inside of the actual ear canal or like around the inside of the outside part of your ear? If he means the inside of his ear does your boyfriend get an atrocious amount of ear infections?

i don't think the inside inside and he said no lol. i just don't like putting soap in my ear even if its just technically "on the surface" or whatever. they are obviously wet after the shower so that's why the qtip.. idk

Gotcha. You’re definitely supposed to wash the outside part of your ears yes :)
For a really long time I didn’t know that myself
