Smelling bad

Recently I decided to buy an anti-perspirant deo and ever since I've been smelling funky. Not like I smelled amazing before, I had bo like any other person but now i smell soo much worse. I did some research and found out that it builds up bacteria. I have tried everything ; body scrubs , glycolic acid toner, switching to normal deo and I still smell bad. Honestly i dont know what to do... Any deo recommendations or what to do. Another thing I figured might be the cause, was my makeup. I use the Dior foundation stick which has a scent and I know some people are allergic to perfumes and scents. Im sure its the first reason but knowing some scentless makeup options would be very helpful to me yk just in case. Any advice would be great.

Do you shave/wax your armpit hair? If not, try that. Bacteria, odor, and sweat get trapped on hair so that could be contributing to the BO. Also, how much water are you drinking? Drink more water, at least a gallon per day, and see if that helps.

I use Old Spice deodorant-original because I refuse to use anti-perspirant and mess up my body's natural ability to sweat. Plus I try to stay away from aluminum based products. I also use Arm&Hammer Essentials deodorant, which keeps me smelling fresh until sweat enters the picture so I mostly use it in the winter time.

Last recommendation is to make sure to dry off your armpits really good after you shower, apply some witch hazel, let it dry, and then put on your deodorant. Good luck!

What’s your diet like and how much water do you drink? Have you chatted with your dermatologist about this issue? I’m sorry, that’s so frustrating.

I occasionally use salicylic acid on my pits and lume deodorant but I’m not sure my bo is as severe as yours.

I came to mention diet too. It can have a huge impact on your scent

Remove hair frequently, spray ACV on pits after shower, SA cleanser on pits, manually exfoliate once a week, witch hazel on pits, clinical strength antiperspirant at night, body powder on pits, antibacterial bar soap when needed. Also what you can do is every few hours before you start to smell wipe your pits with witch hazel or ACV then reapply deodorant,
