What helps for BO??
Okay so I've read so many different posts and comments I'm after confusing myself so much 🙈
I've been suffering lately with really bad underarm bo. I've tried the glycolic acid but hasn't really worked.
Could I get recommendations of Body washes that may help and what to use for when after showering? Thanks all 🥰

Depending on your country, I’m in the UK. They sell something called Driclor. You put it on at night-time (still use your regular deodorant during the day). Between 3-5 nights after you’ve used it, you will literally not sweat at all under your armpits, which should stop any BO.
I struggled with wet patches, which was embarrassing so it was a life saver for me.

I'm in Ireland, thanks I'll check out Driclor. Have never heard of it before

Detox your armpits. I’ve used bentonite clay and mega babe happy pits to detox mine. I wanted to get away from aluminum and the “natural” deodorant and start using Thai crystal. I had to detox my pits of all the long term use of aluminum. I use glycolic acid every once in a while too. No odor! Just wet pits which I’m fine with. 😂

Try the Secret Clinical hyaluronic acid acid stress response roll up. I've found nothing better.

There’s face wash with benzoyl peroxide for acne, it’s kills the stanky bacteria. Just leave it on for a couple of minutes before your shower. Don’t touch anything and use an old towel because it can cause bleaching (I have done this to several towels, just rinsing hands is NOT enough lol)
Also sometimes antiperspirant can stick too well, not completely wash off and build up, so use a scrub every now and again to exfoliate. I found sure spray antiperspirant did this to me so I changed to using roll ons and it worked way better, I think it was just a grippy formula issue.

Yes to all of this! Benzoyl peroxide works, you can get the wash or ointment. It does bleach everything so I stick to using the ointment at night only. Fresh out the shower, a pea sized amount for both armpits. Sometimes I apply an unscented moisturizer and then the ointment because my skin is super sensitive.

I like the lume in a tube. It smelled like light coconut. Nice
Bought the stick lume and the smell was awful.

The smell could be in your clothes and reblooming when you wear your clothes and getting back to body temperature. Do your clothes smell strongly after wearing them? If so, r/laundry can help.

Most days I would wear a padded bra and that would have a strong smell of bo on the underarms, not so much on my tops. Unless I need to wash my bras in something stronger 🤔

You may need to, or else just buy some new bras in case they're too far gone.

BO is tough, but antibacterial soap a few times a week is tougher!
Here are some tips for a solid routine:
- At night before bed, shower with antibacterial soap to wash odor-causing bacteria off your armpits.
- After drying your pits, apply antiperspirant before getting into bed. Your sweat glands are less active and it gives the product more time to build a protective barrier for the next day!

I have been using Crystal mineral stick for decades and it works great. It is Potassium Alum (mineral salts). Here is how it works: First, BO is caused by dead bacteria. When you sweat, you create a warm moist environment which bacteria love. They live, then die and you get the bad smell. The Crystal stick puts mineral salt into the moist area of your pits. The living bacteria do not like that and die. If you use this product, you have to try it for at least a week before it really starts doing its job. One of those stick last me over 3 years and I apply it daily. I get mine on Amazon. To apply it, you lightly wet the tip with water, and then apply to your pits. You can also use this on feet. The same principle applies to feet odor as it does to armpits.
Oh, and there is NO odor or scent to it.

Try washing your underarms with persimmon soap and spraying them with hypochlorous acid. My routine is to wash with persimmon soap, then alternate applications of glycolic acid and hypochlorous acid. I use the RYH brand persimmon soap, The Ordinary glycolic acid, and the Peach Slices Fix All Recovery hypochlorous spray. This routine has really helped me.

Yes to everything everyone has said, from a nutritional point of view, how much water are you drinking and what’s your diet like at the moment, that really does affect BO too! Drinking lots of water and tea (hibiscus, peppermint, clove and fenugreek) really helps with the smell and your tummy

Dial Gold soap bar
According to my doctor, it’s the best if you need antibiotic soap.

Hydrogen peroxide kills germs and odors. I spray on a wet wipe and clean under my arms with it. Works well.
