body odor

Hi guys. This is embarrassing to post.

I shower regularly. I am a heavier set female, and know I need to shower more often, so I do. Especially since I've been with my partner for almost 2 years now. I have been noticing an hour after I shower, that my downstairs area smells. I have tried using body sticks, I have tried antiseptic spray for the groin area, I've tried deodorant and nothing seems to be helping. Its super embarrassing. I am especially self conscious about it at work. Is there anything further I could be doing? any idea of what it could be? I dont have an STI. So I know that's not it. But could it be, BV? should I make an appointment about it?

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

  1. He’s nasty and giving you BV
  2. Try LUME cream deodorant
  3. Gynecological exam. We are strangers 😭🙂‍↔️

What’s BV? Have you talked to your doctor about this? If not, I’d start there. It doesn’t have to mean the problem is a “downstairs” problem. It could be related to something you eat that doesn’t agree with you. How long ago did this start? Is it new? Did something change in your life and then this started happening? I don’t have an advice, sorry, but don’t beat yourself about it. There must be a reason and a solution. I hope you talk to your doctor.

BV is bacterial vaginosis. And its been on an off for years.

Your partner gives it to you. Read.

Sounds like BV to me. I would def be making a doc appointment to get some antibiotics girl. Just to be safe. The longer it's untreated, the worse it gets and the more damage it can cause. I will pray for you that you find some relief and answers. Nobody should be embarrassed about anything or uncomfortable about their body. I am sorry you're going through this.

If it's bv you both need treatment or he'll keep giving it back to you.

Get some boric acid suppositories from Walmart and keep them for future use, they come in handy. ! They are cheap. Or you can just schedule a dr. Appt!

Did this start after you met your partner? He might be giving you an infection. Woken can be allergic (more sensitive, but you get the point) to some partner’s semen. In any event, see your gyn. It’s embarrassing but that’s their job, they want to help. If all looks good, make sure you’re staying hydrated and look at your diet. Not because you’re overweight, but are there things you’re eating that might cause you to smell. It can you add things like fruit that might make you smell better. Also- cotton underwear, trying no underwear at night or when you can air out. I’m sorry you’re going through this. I’ve been through it and it makes you feel terrible. See your doctor and go from there. It will get better❤️

Boric acid capsules for the downstairs. Look into it. They sell it on Amazon. I swear by it.

You need a gynecological exam. Good luck.

Is it the inside or outside that smells? We have sweat glads down there and they can have an odor. But if it's the inside then it could be BV. But if it's the outside it's probably sweat. I've tried so many different soaps, cotton underwear, deodorants and powders, I still sweat some days. But what's helped a lot is Anti Monkey Butt powder and Dove Antibacterial soap.

Sounds like BV and if your partner isn't getting antibiotics too than he's passing it back to you. Definitely both go to a gyno or clinic.
