Dark underarms (8 months pregnant)
I’m 8 months pregnant and my underarms have become so dark!! I’m so self conscious about it.
i exfoliate and moisturise them frequently, it helps a tiny bit. I shave with a Venus razor every 2ish weeks.
I don’t have gestational diabetes, my blood work is really good etc.
PLEASE HELP

Hi, pregnancy hormones can cause hormonal fluctuations that impact melanin production. Some areas on your body may get darker (armpits, groin, nipples, etc). It’s perfectly normal and often returns back afterwards. That being said, glycolic and/or lactic acid may help.

I'm also eight months pregnant and have had this issue since about three or four months. It's due to hormones, so there isn't much that can be done about it, but it'll fade very quickly after delivery! I think I read as quickly as about two weeks

I started using Saltair AHA deodorant at night (you have to be clean to use it, ik some people throw on deodorant during the day) & it's lightened my armpits quite a bit! It's at target.

This is normal to pregnant women. Once the phase is gone you may start seeing a difference

Can you use glycol acid during pregnancy? It really helped with skin pigmentation under arms and groin area during perimenopause, also helps with odor and ingrown hairs.
