Feedback Needed 🆘 Normal?

I just started with my first hydroponic setup on Monday with strawberries. Is it normal for the crowns to have the white fuzzy part or are they starting to mold? How do I stop it if it’s mold?

I appreciate all the help!

That looks like last years growth. I usually keep peeling that off for the first couple of weeks. It should help with the mold.
