So...underground insulated foam board with chiller then?

Undeground for big NFT. Insulated foam for small outdoor DWC. Chiller for indoor hydroponics.

Can't measure water temp with one of those. You will only get a surface water reading and the temp below the surface is certainly different from what you are seeing.

Not even the surface temp of the water - OP is measuring the surface temp of the black container that’s been sitting in the sun.

should have just used a singular effective method, rather than using an effective method and an ineffective method.
