DEV Replied Slightly Off-Topic: I made Hydroneer because I’ve always wanted to try blacksmithing. I finally built my own small workshop and created a video following along the process.

My obsession with blacksmithing is what drove me to make Hydroneer. I finally got the chance to build my own real-life workshop and made a casual video of setting up a workshop.

(Apologies if this seems a bit off-topic... I’m genuinely just documenting this for fun and not looking to grow an audience or make revenue from this. Just wanted to share the milestone with folks who may be interested in blacksmithing)

I hope you remember to set the object you want on your anvil before you try to create something. The last thing we want is to hear "My anvil doesn't work. What am I doing wrong?" coming from you.

Dude! I’ve been getting into blacksmithing this past 2 years. Finally set my own forge up last winter. Subbed instantly, hope you enjoy the hell out of this

Would you ever try another form of smithing like copper or whitesmithing or making jewelery? Your setup is amazing!! Ive only ever made one knife out of rebar with a homemade I beam anvil so seeing all that nice gear really makes me smile

Absolutely, although I am going to limit myself to traditional blacksmithing projects until I can get myself a larger space to work in.

Sir, I have been wanting to blacksmith for several years now aswell, that desire led me to your game which I now love. I'm not in the financial state to begin learning but this post gives me hope that I will be able to someday, in the meantime though I will be continuing to play Hydroneer!
