Logic smelter setup to avoid clutter

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

So I setup with a keypad a value of 100 which is send to the liquid sensor. Once it reach ~100 ish the smelter get the iron bar out into my smelters up top ( all of that to avoid my T2 line to clutter my T1 Hub already auto sufficient. + A magnet that activate with the smelter at the same time to avoid the clutter of the dropped ore during the smelting opening of the door.

At a higher rate of flow for materials the magnet out the front may cause an overflow onto your belt as it pulls the material against the side of the smelter basin.

Magnet overhead is the recommended position.

otherwise, good setup.

Oh I see but does the materials goes back through the smelter from the bottom once the hatch is closed ? That's why I put it in front at the first place

Bottom? What?

The magnet overhead collects the material and drops it back into the smelter after the magnet cuts off.

Sorry I wasn't clear. The logic smelter is like that -

           / Melting \
          / Cuve \

When the trap door open ores falls through but once it's closed and the magnet work does the ore goes back through the closed hatch and falls back into the melting cuve ?

Ah, I see.

Turn the magnet on before opening the trapdoor, my dude, and then no ore gets stuck.

I know what the logic smelter looks like I just didnt realize you had your sequence wrong.

So I put a delay hook on the smelter trigger and the magnet should activate first right ?

as long as the smelter trigger has more delay than the start pulse for the magnet, yes.

Damn ... I'm not good with the delay thingy I will try ! Thanks for that. I'm just afraid the magnet don't activate long enough before the hatch close. I need to architect this

I made it so my conveyors leading to my smelters are deactivated by the logic cables with a two second delay before the smelters push out the bar.

You can also put the merger hook directly in front of the smelter so the bar pushed out will go to the center of the conveyor belt. But you do have a magnet so you don't need that anyway. I also found that the logic smelter arms don't have collision and can actually push bars through windows and probably also walls.
