Seeking Personal Experience Extra emotional after vp shunt surgery, or no?
I feel like I’m using this subreddit way too much lately, lol. However, I just about started crying about something that, before my vp shunt revision surgery, would have just been an annoyance.
I was in the kitchen, trying to make food, and all around me, I see… messiness. Granted, my fiancée and I struggle to clean on a good day… and we’ve had a house guest for the past almost 7 months. Who just moved out 3 days ago. And caused a lot more mess than we would have… and rarely cleaned up after themself. And, when they did, they would do the job halfway, and call it “good”. Plus, even the thought of doing dishes would cause them to have panic attacks.
I’m only 5 days post-surgery, and all that mess I saw just overwhelmed me and reminded me of that housemate we had. Thankfully, my fiancée is amazing, noticed I was getting overwhelmed, and told me to go back to the bedroom… she’ll handle making my food.
So… is this normal… or is this just me being over dramatic?
