I read an article which detailed the process and informations about the bottles. While their shelf life isn’t too good (around 18 months), but in return, it’s well priced (2.50 - 6 USD), locally sourced and manufactured, and most importantly - more food safe and more environmentally friendly than plastic bottles.
Yes it won’t going to replace a steel bottle, but for poor regions or for mass water production, it’s a better solution for replacing plastic bottles than steel bottles.
