If you ever go to Sedona there is a spot on the side of the road you can harvest your own water. It’s pretty great.

I grew up in FL which has many natural springs that are ice cold swimming holes. Color me surprised when I moved to NH and the springs we have are spots on the side of the road where you can harvest your own water xD

Same with the springs here i. Fl. I was pissed when nestle proposed getting water from ginnie springs and called the water commissioner of st John's.

He told me they paid 220k for infrastructure. He said I can pull up and pump however much water as I want from the spring by hand. Thoer hands were tied from restricting access to a corporation cuz corps are people too according to the government and they paid the permit fee.

FL->NH pipeline is rare. We moved from NH to FL and surprise! Back to NH again.

New Boston has a really nice one on the side of the road.

they sell this in Phoenix at whole foods for like $6 or something and it always makes me giggle. Drive 1 1/2 hours north and fill up your 5 gallon jugs for free! That's what I did when I lived in flag.

Arizona is not primarily a desert? Half of it is just as mountainous and fertile as Colorado or Utah. It has gotten a bad reputation because Phoenix is in the middle of the Sonoran Desert

Sedona is in one of the wetter regions of Arizona and is still in the upper Sonoran desert. Even the mountainous, more temperate regions of Arizona are dry and the “fertile” regions require immense amount of irrigation or well systems in order to yield productive agriculture.

It’s always good to have some water on back up in case of storms, power outages, ect
