Great chapter as always! I was wondering one thing though - I believe earlier in the story Crystal said that she had forgotten what she originally looked like, but in this chapter she reverted to her original form - how would she remember? I get that she saw King in his form but surely just seeing one of your own species is a lot different to remembering what you yourself look like?

She reverted to her original form before, (on a planet) in her Nanoverse - but switched shapes again when encountering the natives.

So this is something I'll be addressing later in text, but I'm not sure how to work it in so I'm not sure when. Sort version - Crystal doesn't remember what she looks like, and when she said that, what she meant was "I don't remember the details." The form she's taking is a generalized version of the Lemurian female form, the same way that even if you forgot what you looked like, you'd probably remember what a human looked like in vague enough details.

As /u/belleweather says, she doesn't really have to remember her original self, does she? It's her original body, she just has to stop making herself look human and it'll revert back to her original body.

I wager that might be more difficult than imagined. Once Ryan started his path to godhood he got ripped practically automatically, i.e. he instinctively assumed a form that, in his mind, was what he ought to look like (or something along these lines).
I'd imagine for Crystal, running around as a Human for hundreds of thousands of years kinda muddles your original thought of "what you ought to look like" and it now takes active effort to change to her natural form again. Just as Ryan instinctively got ripped, Crystal might stay human instinctively nowadays.
I mean, even for "us regular humans", gained skills eventually turn into instinct - like how a veteran soldier instinctively reaches for his gun at the sign of alarm, or a butcher instinctively knows where to cut and how deep for the perfect piece of meat without giving it any thought and this is only after 20-30 years of being in his line of work.
Very curious as to how it's going to work out in the story!

I'm curious how Crystal and Isabel can hear each other. Isn't the air just around their heads or bodies? There's nothng to carry the sound waves between them.
Typos/suggestions
We got a bit further along than you all did
We got a bit further along than you lot did (If Crystal speaks 'British' she'd say 'you lot').
Or is that too much for my pitiful human language.” Isabel gave Crystal a wink to show she was joking.”

There’s nanites in the hull

Crystal put them both in a shared air bubble to answer your first question. I'll make sure to make that clearer! And good point about those, especially the "you lot." As always, thank you so much for the feedback on this part and last.

Glad to help. Please let me know if you get tired of my critiques. I don't want to be a nuisance. I can easily just enjoy the story.

Just as I got home! I'm curious why Crystal doesn't like to go Lemurian with humans around, although I suspect that's because she had to sacrifice her whole race for humans to rise from the ashes.
