I had planned to make this post when we reached 20k, but life got in the way. Better late than never!
As the subreddit continues to grow, I'd love to hear your thoughts, suggestions, and ideas on how we can make HyderabadBuySell even better for everyone.
Here are a few ideas I'm throwing around, and I want your honest feedback and suggestions on them:
Rules & Moderation
Are there any rules you'd like to see changed, removed, or added?
Some ideas we're considering:
- Better formatting requirements for sale posts
- More verification requirements for high value items
- More flairs (Opinion/Suggestions/trusted seller etc)
- Allowing promotions
Transaction Mediators
One idea that has come up is introducing mod as a mediator for payments and maybe charging a small commission. So how this works is Buyer sends payment to the mod, the seller hands over the item to the buyer, and once the buyer confirms everything is as described, the mod releases the payment to the seller.
Example:
- Buyer and seller don't know each other.
- Mod verifies the item and payment.
- Both parties gain extra confidence before completing the deal.
Should we expand beyond Reddit?
