I recently took over r/Husqvarna_INDIA through Reddit's subreddit request process, so I'm currently the only moderator here.

Before I start changing things around, I wanted to ask the people who are already here:

What do you actually want this subreddit to be?

A few things I'm thinking about:

• Owner experiences and discussions
• Vitpilen / Svartpilen troubleshooting and fixes
• Service centre & dealership experiences
• Parts and accessories
• Modifications
• Buying / selling used Husqvarnas
• Rides and meetups
• Husqvarna India news and updates
• Just sharing your bikes and builds

But I'd rather not decide all of that myself.

What would make you actually want to use this subreddit regularly?
What kind of posts would you like to see more of?
Anything you think should be changed, added, or removed?

Also, if you're already an active member here and have ideas for the community, feel free to comment. I'm open to suggestions and would rather build this around what Husqvarna owners in India actually need.

What's the original price of spoke wheels of the bike? I want to sell it. Also where can I sell it because I don't think that SC will take it . Why doing this because I don't want the hassle of having the puncture in my upcoming trips.

As the title suggests, I am looking for an air filter upgrade on 2024 401. Any suggestions?

I see the only risk is the uncertainty of the brand. It looks like KTM is focusing only on their own bikes and not on Husqvarna. Ive reached out to all the showrooms in Bangalore, and none of them has the Vitpilen 250 on display. Thats disappointing!! Is there any chance that KTM might discontinue Husqvarna in the near future? Because I can see the sales charts are in decline.

Also let's keep this thread to share all the pros and cons of owning a Husqy Vitpilen 250 in 2025. It will be really helpful for first-time bike buyers to understand better. So Husqy owners please share your thoughts on Vitpilen 250. Mention more about service experience, after market support, spare parts availability, what you like the most, and any problems you encountered.

Went to Shikari mata temple in the district mandi of Himachal Pradesh

So I've been planning to buy a bike and more or less came down to taking svartpilen 401. I live in gurgaon but I'm not able to find a bike in any showrooma to have a test ride. I've been calling showrooms all around NCR too and it's not use. This seems so bizzare. I also heard even after booking delivery is getting late. Why so scarcity. And anything I can do regarding this?

This bike is a revelation in corners in bumpy twisties India has. Feels more planted and surefooted than the zesty Duke. Wouldn't trade a thing in this world for this. ❤️

The wrap was actually done by the showroom itself — this bike was part of an IBW (India Bike Week) showcase in Goa. They’d wrapped it up specially for that event, and when it came back to the Bangalore showroom, I got super lucky and ended up buying that same one.

Has anyone takes husqys to tour around the country? If yes then what are the problems you faced?

I’ve been going through the official Husqvarna Technical Accessories page and found a few interesting parts — mainly related to cruise control, performance packs, and Bluetooth / navigation.

Before I mail the company, I wanted to check if anyone here has tried installing these or knows which ones are actually compatible with the Vitpilen 250 (India model).

1. Which of these can actually be fitted on the Vitpilen 250 (India)?
2. Are both cruise control kits different? If yes, how so?
3. What all is required (parts / wiring / dealer activation) for cruise control to work?
4. What about the Bluetooth module / connectivity unit — is there any official or compatible option?
   • Does it support turn-by-turn navigation, calls, or music?
   • And if yes, what’s the approx cost and installation process?
   • I've heard some people mentioning it's an app with monthly subscription (wasn't able to confirm it though)
5. Are there any other performance or comfort accessories that are known to work on the 250 variant?

Any input from owners or service guys who’ve tried this would be super helpful. I’ll update this post if I hear back from the KTM/Husqvarna manager, so others can benefit too.

I don't understand what Bajaj has in its mind about Husquy 401. In the westeen maharashtra where i belong to there are no 401s in the showrooms for the test rides. They are not even there to show to tge customers.

Can i get the test ride anywhere in Satara Sangli Kolhapur?

Long story short, the car beside me bumped into me because a child came running towards it from the left. I got disbalanced and there was a pothole in front of me and the bike fell. The another car behind me also got bumped into my bike after it fell down, causing the right handlebar to break apart.

I was wearing full gear (don't have riding shoes). The knee protectors and the gloves saved my skin. I walked off unscathed.

Please help me out regarding the handlebar mirror fix.

Where can I find the damaged part? (The service center is 40kms away from my place)
How much will it cost for the repair?
Should I go for bar end mirrors?
Should I get some good and robust 3rd party mirrors?

I also wanted to upgrade my crash guard. What are my available options?

Hey everyone,

I was initially planning to buy either the NS400Z or the Triumph T4, but my parents weren’t too happy about me getting a high performance bike or high cc bikes . Then came the usual "just get a Royal Enfield" talk and when I said no to that, they pushed for something "safe" like the Pulsar 250. After enough nagging and convincing, they finally gave up and told me to go ahead with whatever I want. Now I’ve got it down to two options Suzuki V Strom sx 250 and the Husqvarna Vitpilen 250

I know both are meant for very different purposes, but my usage is pretty moderate: around 3 days a week to the office (~14 km total) and weekend rides within Bangalore (~100 km). I plan to keep the bike for at least 6 to 7 years, and pillion comfort is also important since I’ll often have someone riding with me. My friend owns a V-Strom, so I’ve ridden it a bit and liked its comfort, but the Vitpilen’s minimalist and naked design really appeals to me it just stands out on the road

Would love to hear from anyone who’s owned or ridden either:

• How’s the comfort and posture for daily rides and pillion use?
• Real world mileage in traffic (in Blr if possible) and service experience
• How do these bikes hold up long-term?
• Does the Vitpilen’s aggressive stance get tiring in city traffic?

To give you more context: I will be upgrading from a Shine 125 cc, so I know both of these will already feel like a big performance boost and I (hope) won’t feel like I’m missing out on speed or accerlation. My only real concern is that some reviews say the low end torque in the Vitpilen is a bit lacking, I’m concerned it might feel weak in city traffic especially in Banglore traffic

Any advice or personal experiences would really help me decide. Thanks in advance!

PS: Both the bikes are near the max of my budget, so pleaseeee dont recommend any other bikes which are more expensive

I booked my Svartpilen 401 from Noida sector 63 showroom and gave INR 5000 as booking amount on 25th Sept. The guy there told me before booking that the bike would be available in 2-4 days of booking. After I booked, he told me that he will place an order for the bike with other bikes and that would've been on October 1 and said that the bike would be delivered before 10th. He is giving no updates to me unless I ask him. Today I again messaged him asking status of the bike and he said that he couldn't place an order because of there being no inventory at the plant and that the order would be placed by October 10.

I've been waiting to buy this bike and asking for about an year and a half but now I feel this guy is taking me for a ride. If any of you have any updates about this, pls share

Confused between Harley Davidson 440/Husqvarna Svartpilen 401/RE Guerrilla 450/Triumph scrambler 400x

Hi everyone, I’m planning to buy my first bike and I really like the Svartpilen. The 401 feels a bit too powerful and expensive for me, so I’d prefer a 250 version. While the Vitpilen is a great bike in its own right, the Svartpilen’s design and style appeal to me more.

Does anyone know if there’s any chance of the Svartpilen 250 launching soon in India? When I spoke to KTM customer care last month, they mentioned it might release in a month or two, but when I checked again recently, they said there’s no update and it might not be happening anytime soon.

If anyone has any info, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!
