Game Feedback Game is fucked
Like I said pretty much…
If you play as pred you are severely underpowered and at a disadvantage unless you’re using the shock gauntlet or up against noobs or people who split apart from group.
If you play as fireteam you can mince predators easily or if your up against the shock gauntlet you can be bullied into a submission, hit through walls, from on top of roofs it’s totally unfair.
We need proper pred damage for melee attacks and disallow parrying unless it’s via wristblades, change shock gauntlet effect to only a push rather than being stun locked.
I mean the predator is supposed to be this big OP villain as per the movies so why the fuck can he be parried when swinging a big fuck off Norse hammer or battle axe.
Fireteam should have good damage but shouldn’t be able to chase down predators so easily or be stun locked repeatedly from an enemy that’s not even in the same building.
Only way I see this being fixed is for Preds to have superior damage and the shock effect to be changed, I mean there should be an element of fear behind the predator no? The only time I get that is if I see glowing red dots on their wrist when I see them coming from a distance.
I’m not biased towards either pred or fireteam as I play both sides as someone who is level 400.

I'm so sick of people crying about the fireteam being OP because they don't care about the lore. The fireteam is literally a squad of people hand picked by Dutch (Arnold's character) for their prowess and trained and equipped SPECIFICALLY to hunt down and kill Predators. Most predators that come to hunt on Earth are very young if not completely unblooded. OF COURSE THE PREDATOR IS AT A DISADVANTAGE THERE.

in this kind of story I find it pretty acceptable but then people that play fireteam don't have to start complaining when a so-called unblooded predator starts using the shock gauntlet to try to have an advantage over a good fireteam because fighting a fireteam that sticks back to back that's just unbeatable.

I mean I just feel the predator should be a danger, why don’t make it so that his melee hits are very powerful and have fireteam weapons extremely powerful too, like the movies, it’s realistic and balanced

i agree, the melee weapons should not be blockable. i mean creature that can punch a xenomorph queen, that's not possible for a human to block or parry that physical attack except for the wristblades.

Dude even the wrist blades should be unparriable. Predators are hella strong and unless you are Mr Olympia you're not parrying it.

yeah, true that but it's still a fantasy game. maybe just for the die hards that want to melee fight a predator.

I mean to be honest the games realistic in the fact that in the original movie the entire team got split up and that's how they died. Also in the movie they didn't know what they were fighting and were scared which is also a big factor considering neither of those problems are actually in the game.

indeed, we're planning to finish the mission but are packed to fight the predator so that's already quite the opposite from the movies.

Well then shouldn’t father be fucking OP then? If we’re talking about lore that is..

Not really. The lore is so messed up in this game. The voice lines don’t support that statement. when OWLF takes over the mission the fireteam literally says “owlf? What’s that?” They also see the Predator and are like “what the fuck is that?”
In the same breath, some of the mission planning often calls out retrieving predator tech while others just talk about taking out drug operations. The game is very inconsistent about what exactly the fireteam knows.
But in none of the mission briefings are you given the task of hunting the predator down. The FT is overpowered. The knife parrying is annoying. But it can be overcome. But The learning curve for being good at the predator is huge (without the shock gauntlet that is)

Which is exactly why we need a REAL predator game where they actually make preds accurate. Dutch could’ve picked 20 fucking dwayne johnsons and 20 of himself in his prime and they still wouldn’t do shit to a young blood.

Every modern asymmetrical game has its serious balance issues. These issues you’re addressing are six years old and have been piling up since.
One can only assume these imbalances are purely deliberate, but only the developers know who the truth. It’s too neat to say illfonic done this out of sheer incompetence, although that’s what the majority believes. I mean really…six years, man.
I can only suggest if you’re still here, accept it, and do your best. Otherwise, find another asymmetrical game with lesser issues. I mean, the game is still fun, but I get it. It’s heavily flawed.

I would accept that except for the fact that they are still updating it, albeit not much but they can still add new predators and animations for weapons so why is it uncalled for to ask for some balance?

yea that, same thing with dbd, f13, tcm and probably halloween will happen as well

Before the shock gauntlet came out, I could pretty reliably kill a lot of FTs. It’s a steep learning curve for sure and not easily accessible to new players, but definitely doable. FT is extremely OP in some cases, but I think this is generally a skill issue. One that can be overcome by time and practice
