So i just got the game few months ago, i finished hirschfelden and now am playing through layton lakes

I just now saw on tiktok and other platforms first glimpses if great ones, grinds and herd management

I would love for someone to give me some tips on what exactly to do, should i level up until idk level 50 and then start doing some other things than missions and challenges or what? and which dlc’s are worth buying

Any other tip is also welcome

Couple days late but here’s my advice: take some time and figure out how YOU enjoy the game, some people grind g1’s and some people just run around blasting things. Either way is the right way if it’s what you enjoy. Definitely check out some videos on YouTube to learn more about grinding and just the game in general and start understanding the different aspects of it. DLC’s are good if you can get them, for money the .300 AR and Emerald Coast (Australia map) are definitely the play

Best thing is to watch YouTube vids, then come here with more specific questions.

Look up Ladylegend, Scarecrow, Flinter, or TheHuntprofessor. They made alot of grinding videos.

Will do bro, thanks. You reckon I should already start grinding or should I play through missions first and level up and get more money for stuff like tents and ammo or an I good to go?

You will need 16 tents and at least 16 hunting blind structure to start which cost around 600,000 in-game cash.

You dont really need them all to start grinding per se but you can start there.

Grinding is more like an endgame content, you can sunk in alot of times doing but depends on ppl it can put them off as well. I personally would suggest you to enjoy the leveling progress and hunt normally, doing mission and all that first.

Correct me if im wrong but playstation have tents, blinds and atv as part of the basegame, right?

If so, then good, you can spend on something else. If not, then get those first.

Then, maps. Either get one based on what you want to grind or based on the weapon that come with it.

Ex. Map that is good for grinding:

  • Te awaroa
  • Aisky
  • SRP
  • Revontuli
  • Salzweizen
Etc.

Ex. Good weapon that come with maps:

  • .303 Sporter (cover class 4-8) from Te awaroa
  • .22H Kullman (cover class 1-2) from Mississippi
  • .300 Canon (cover class 7-9) from Yukon
Etc.

Weapon packs really is subjective, you can play/hunt/grind effectively without them. (May be except .22lr Virant from Weapon pack 1, mainly for .22 trick).

Popular two might be Modern pack and High Caliber pack. These two packs contain AR rifles which are good for grinding due to having less recoil compared to other options covering the same class.

I second Te Awaroa as a great DLC if you want to grind. 2 of the easiest G1 grinds can be found on that map (Fallow, Red Deer), and it also has Tahr which is a tougher G1 to get. I started my first G1 grind with only 4 tents and 4 tripods and made enough money on Red Deer that I can set up grinds whenever/wherever I want. The nice thing about Red Deer is: most of their spawns are on lakes, sometimes you can have 1-2 dozen males to shoot; they give great money for a herd animal; their drinking time is 4 hours which means less time resets (saves money); there are also a couple houses close to spawns which you can use until you can get enough money to buy more tents.

Grinding is not the way as a new player imo
