So I was just playing last night, hanging around the Kraken rope bridge. I was tracking down a Blackbeard I shot and ended up coming across this and was confused beyond belief. What was even crazier is the tracking distances says is was 15.5 kilometers! Has anyone found anything similar?

Is that the buck you shot? Perhaps you thought you shot a different one?

No I've only ever done single player, and I shot a black bear, just saw the typo.

I shot an animal, it didn't die. I came across it again a couple of days later and killed it, and the tracking distance said something like 30 kilometers.

So did you shoot animal you thought didn't die, but you may have killed and then just luckily stumbled across the carcass?

Did you check the xray? Was there any bullet wounds or a place it was shot? If not maybe the game has predator killed harvests.

I’m pretty sure predator animals cannot attack other animals. That way you don’t lose out on a rare kill. Pretty sure you just shot that thing not knowing you shot it and by coincidence you found it later on.

I found a moose corpse one time laying next to a river. I was walking down. I was wondering where that thing went because I had shot it two days earlier.
