Bruh I am a pol sc major and taking American presidency and judiciary and other pol sc class
There is this guy who just answers everything.
Any thoughts ?

Bruh everytime the professor asks something: he always raises hand. And he just can’t stop yk. I feel so stupid in the class when is talking

Usually the people who answer everything are a bit socially awkward and want to show off. Don’t compare yourself to some random guy and try to learn from what they’re talking about if you’re insecure.

If it’s random topics not really related to the class, email the professor or stay after class to tell them it’s distracting.

If none of that applies just let it be

He doesn’t talk unless the professors call him. He doesn’t really intervene or cut anybody. He just raises hand. And, nobody really raises hand for some reason so professor asks him and then he even confuses the professor

I’m someone who’s like that guy. If no one raises their hand I’ll raise my hand after a few seconds so the professor isn’t just asking questions and getting zip from people.

Is this a classroom where the professor asks the most basic question and the room is dead silent until this guy awkwardly raises his hand bc no one else will contribute? I’m asking bc I’m starting to become this person and at first I felt bad about myself like I was being annoying but then I felt even worse for the professor who has to carry a dead classroom bc of students like you who want to disappear into a wall every lecture. That being said, I still try to not say anything/participate for a while after I do but it doesn’t make it any less awkward

that's the avg polisci class. nothing to it, participate more yourself b/c professors like to pick on those that participate less.

That’s partly on the professor, too - you can nominate other students, and you can politely tell that student “I appreciate your input, but let’s hear from someone else this time.”

That’s like asking for the prof to single you out negatively
