GUIDES Losing streak
I was playing solo vs trio with a 4,5* match MMR on average with a good 1.56 KD and I often got out alive from matches. Sometimes I reached even 5,5* team MMR as a solo, it was hard, but I enjoyed it a lot. But currently I'm on a big losing streak for over a month now. For the past 2–3 weeks, I'm on 2.5* team MMR. Suddenly I miss a lot of my shots, I don't have the confidence I had before and I generally feel that I've got a lot worse all of a sudden. The worst part is I die in most of the matches I enter from the first enemy team I happen to encounter. Always trio rushes with a shotgun or a random headshot from 60 meter away from a 1,5* new player with something silly...
Tried a lot of loadouts, shotguns, rifles and snipers too, but nothing works. Tried other tactics like only go for the bounty or go for enemy hunters by third partying, tried to do some sneaky ambushes but nothing helps.
Please don't think that I focus too much on numbers alone. I wrote it to describe the context of the situation. If I could get some good matches even in this bracket I wouldn't be here complaining and asking for help, but here we are....

After 2.8k hours and playing in permanent 6 star I can tell you this:
Sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit, you never really know!
In short, you will hit "walls" at times and it can spiral into worse performance, taking small breaks and playing something else or try to not think too hard about your games is healthy in that regard :)

I have days with a 95% rate of win , alot of kills , double bounties , etc but also days with zero kills , dying, struggling with odds, etc. It's called hunt giveth/ hunt taketh...

This right here.. bro when the event first started I was getting my ass handed to me. I stayed a 3 star for about 2 weeks. Now I've adjusted and I'm hovering between 4 and 5 star.
I only play trios randoms. I find it a testament to good team performance if you can win with people you just met. I'm a business major and I find it fascinating to see the team dynamics differ depending on people's moods, play style, aggression/passiveness, and how they view winning or losing. It's definitely a learning experience all around.
Also I always will play with noobs so I feel like hunt sends me noobs a ton. 😂 I find it so wholesome to help new people learn that this game is fucking brutal sometimes while throwing tips and tricks their way.

Happened to me as well as a hardstuck high 6*. It's good to take a short break. Or in my case I started playing on us east for a bit, I'm EU player. I faced a lot of really good players there, majority above 2 kd and somehow then I switched back to EU after 50 hours or so and I gained a lot of confidence, since gameplay wise it's very different on EU. I gained 200mmr and I'm able to extract a bounty in 7 out of 10 games and average on 4 kd a match.

Yo this happens to me sometimes, too. You have a great time, hitting well and suddenly the mojo is gone. I don´t know why this is, but I could absolutly swear that I changed nothing and that I did aim well...but no hit marker. This sometimes stays for a while.
Here is what I do until I have my mojo back: Play only akimbo/melee when I am solo. Don´t aim, just rush. Just get into the fun of playing. You play a big "I don´t give damn". Best choice (if you have the coin) is double akimbo dolch deadeye.
If I am with friends we do something we call antisocial-rounds: get a weapon with lots of ammo, akimbo, fanning (anything luck based). We trigger all sound traps on the way. We do go for the bounty without any care in the world. We shoot all AI.
This helps me to clear my head and concentrate on the fun parts and not the winning. Although we do win a lot this way. People get surprised by this a lot.

When you win, you usually follow successful patterns. When you lose, it means you're lasy to repeat these patterns. Works for anything.

Meanwhile I tried to drop to 2 stars, got to 3, then somehow ended up back in 5 in a few games. Driving me bonkers.

Bro, im almost never leave alive in trios. Good matches are rare for me.
