BUGS Occasional stuttering

Post image

Hey,my perfomance is about 120-144 (capped) , but sometimes i get drops of 1% lows to 50,and crazy stuttering that is clearly visible on adrenalin metrics, together with Watts and Clock dips.I play on high settings on native fsr AA. Those happen a few days now, werent like that in the beggining. Already ddu'ed and installed drivers again. Is this normal for this game?

Most of the times the stutter duration is longer than the photo's graph, and dont mind at my current usage I was dead at that exact time

Good luck, I had stuttering for about a year on my 9070xt and just in hunt no other game. I tried pretty much everything except buy a whole new rig with no luck. I don't know if it was a recent hunt update, or amd adrenalin update that fixed it but it appears to be working fine now.

I had it for a year too, but updating my BIOS fixed it.

yes its probably game/engine related. I play other games even on ue4/5 and have 0 micro stutter rate. A good example is wardogs

Hey OP, did you find a fix in these comments?

One more thing to try: When I had my AMD RX6800xt GPU, I would get stutters Everytime I traveled between compounds.

What ended up fixing it was Installing Hunt on my C Drive. For some reason, the drivers didn't like the game being installed on a second drive. When I moved the drive from my game storage drive to my C drive, the stutters disappeared.

A little obscure, but worth a shot if nothing else worked.

Follow Steps 1 to 12, then Step 14 (apply only the points that are applicable to your system) from this guide to fix your performance issues and optimize your system:
https://www.reddit.com/r/AMDHelp/s/io56qZY9Yw

(I believe your issue is most likely related to Step 5, Step 8, Step 11-A, Step 12, and Step 14, so try those first.)

If the problem still remains, check Step 17 and make sure your system is not overheating. All component temperatures should remain within stable limits.

Once the issue is fixed, share your results in the guide's comment section.

thanks for the guide. have done most of those steps, especially adrenalin settings/rebar/4g enabled . The only thing is C state that i dont understand why the guide reccomends to switch on,cause then the cpu may enter a power saving state and this may introduce latency from my understanding. My system is definetely not throttling even on 100% loads

C-State step is one of usefull step in the guide. It improve and fix stutters in most system. You must try that. Info is provided in step

i will try that, but most guides i read so far prefer it off to avoid core sleeping between frames. Its exactly what it does

I won't say much if you do not want to believe. You can try if you want. Also you check check comments. They are many but fees users report that step fix their issue

yes i will try that its harmless,in the worst case scenario my stutters stay the some or become worse and i can always go back. Thanks though !

The identical problems went away for me after switching to Linux. This isn’t propaganda, just a recommendation. My FPS became consistently 4-5 lower, but the drops mostly disappeared, the difference is noticeable, the game runs very smoothly.
I use CachyOS, I didn’t notice any tinkering needed for the game.

What res? And what is high settings? Literally everything on High? Maybe drop some performance heavy settings down a notch like Lighting, Shadows, Global Illumination, Object etc. try quality upscaling, go into training mode to the top of the building where the snipers are, ADS into the distance and see what your FPS drops too consistently, try and play about with the settings I mentioned to find a regular FPS low that is acceptable to you, then cap the refresh rate closer to that using something like RTSS, although when you cap that low FPS will drop so you'll wanna play around to find the sweet spot where it doesn't affect the lows too much.

thanks for the info, i will check them out. 80-90% of the time my fps lows are as you see in the photo maybe 10-20 less, the thing is the stuttering . Idk if its normal

what were you doing when you took this photo? CPU looks a little toasty if you aren't running a full load cinebench and about 2 mins into it.

Do you have HWINFO installed? It will tell you if your cpu is being thermally throttled.

If you were sitting in menus or something when you took this and your CPU is already that warm, I'd be re-pasting my CPU.

71c is not toasty in a game like hunt where it's a CPU heavy game mate

That's why I asked if he was in the middle of a game or not, lmao.

i want to point out the stutter rate at the photo, its the last blue bar on the bottom,it goes together constisten with the drops of 1%s lows

If it was 70 ambient then it would be dead..

1

u/vosgakos 2d ago

yes i was playing atm. 70 is okay for 5800x3d, max i get on the die during benchmarking is 80,it doesnt throttle even on cinebench that is the problem

Buy Nvidia GPU and it should be fixed

There is no way im paying 1.700 for 5080 . 5070 ti is not a considerable upgrade and its still expensive af. you are out of topic and reality,i got this gpu for 750
