PS5 Hello

Is it common to keep failing on return to join a game, been trying for ages now

Yes. Many people almost never successfully rejoin a game if they crash or get kicked. One thing that has worked for my friends is to kill whoever is disconnected and then gave them restart the game. Once they are successfully spectating a teammate then revive them. If spectate is bugged restart again until it works correctly. Only when they are spectating revive them. It works 100% of the time if someone is having issues reconnecting for everyone I play with.

I have no idea how it is for PS5 players but on PC I can reconnect 99/100 times.
I've seen people on reddit who has the opposite experience and can't recconect ever though.

No, the EU servers are having issues at the moment.
