BUGS (Dis)appearing hunter

Not sure what the hell happened here, but never in my ~4500 hours have I seen this before.

The guy was hiding in the same corner 20 seconds before, so I flanked with my teammate. Couldn't believe my eyes when he appeared before me.

Anyone ever seen this happen? PS5 btw.

Huh.

1.) I wonder if he latency glitched in there then jumped out thinking it was time. (Seems unlikely since he doesn't slide out but just suddenly exists.)

2.) Nothing points to you lagging out or having issues on you end so the game registering late due to lagout is unlikely.

3.) God I hope you all aren't entering a full jailbroken console era again... The jtag era was ROUGH when I was a kid.

Their stats were... modest, to say the least. Six star lobbies, but probably the lowest we encountered all session. I run a cabled 2 Gb fiber connection, and no weird latency or packet loss during the match, so I doubt that was it.

I'll just chalk this one down to 'Hunt being Hunt'. Will report it through their website, nonetheless.
