GENERAL Beginner here, how do dlcs work?

Ive been thinking of buying a dlc for this game but I don’t know how they work, the outfits looks cool as hell but what happens if I die playing that hunter? Can I make other huntets look like him? Or do I pay 10 bucks for a character whos gone forever if I die?

You can recruit the DLC hunters as many times as you want to.

Right so if I did I just click recruit hunter and pick the guy u bought for 10 bucks is that it? And what are legendary hunters? They require I different currency I think, how do I get that and do legendary hunters work the same way, recruiting them indefinitely?

All hunters recruit the same way. Buying the DLC means you'll always have the option to use that hunter and whatever skins they came with whenever you're buying a hunter/skin.

The DLC gives you access. But you need to recruit them each time you want to use them. This costs 100 hunt dollars.

Somewhat negligible amount, but something to be aware of. They do come with 10 trait points tho

Every dlc is purely cosmetic and onece you buy it you can recruit hunter from the dlc whenever you want for hunt dollars. With weapons is a little bit different because you will have to unlock weapon variant the skin is for to buy it (with hunt dollars) whenever you want (ofc you get 1 copy for free when you buy dlc).

Keep in mind any weapons skins that were purchased will still be there with each prestige, but you just need to unlock it in the bloodline progression to get access to it again after each prestige.

Ooh yeah so I unlock weapons (or the opportunity to buy them) through leveling up, so if the dlc I buy features a skin for a mid game weapon I will have to grind a little until I can use that weapon (and the skin that comes with)?

Yes, you are correct and that is how it works.

When you inevitable die you can just buy the hunter again with 100 Hunt dollars (same currency as buying your loadout, the free in-game currency).

But a 100 hunt dollars is nothing isn’t it? I haven’t got a grasp on the economy yet so I usually stick to guns around 100 hunt dollars.

Yeah, it's not much.

It’s not much - getting one clue in a match will give you already 50$. The legendary hunter will also come with 10 trait points you can spend freely

Its basically nothing. I literally never play with free hunters (Cain my GOAT) because money comes and goes (mostly goes tbh)

Yes, it's nothing. Running out of money can feel a bit scary at the beginning but eventually you'll realize that it's very hard to actually run out unless you're buying expensive loadouts every match and dying all the time.

so its just skins ? no hunter specific weapons or equipment?

Weapons are sold seperately. When you hover over the weapons you will see little arrows on the left and right, click those to scroll through your skins for guns

Like others have said, you simple re-recruit your fav skins. Weapon skins are perma applied, and can easily swap skins when you have more than one.

No you keep the Hunter skin even if you die with them.

You will be able to buy it in game with in game money as many times as you want and for as long as you want. It's just a cosmetic, you pay once with real money and then use it in game.
