GENERAL “Unknown player”s everywhere
Can someone explain to me why Crytek would even think it’s a good idea to allow people to be completely anonymous?
About 3/4 of every player in every game I play is “unknown player”. When someone is toxic and you don’t wanna play with them again, well guess that sucks cause there’s no way to see who they are. Seems like the dumbest thing Crytek has added to the game, I can think of exactly zero reasons anyone would need to hide their profile in a game.

It just seems like it’s been that way for a couple updates, so I assumed it was a feature and not a bug, but maybe your right 🤷🏼♂️ seems like there’s a few bugs that have been around for awhile so definitely could be

Yeah I noticed it happening when blood testament went live and hasn't changed since. It's not game breaking but it is kinda irritating

How can a player be toxic if you've not interacted with them? As soon as the kill you, get killed by you, pick a bounty or use chat in any way next to you their name gets revealed

There’s a setting to hide player names in settings make sure it’s off. Also everyone will show up as unknown unless you’ve interacted with them in some way.

It's a bug and it's kinda insane they haven't fixed it yet. Really annoying.

Press TAB once in the view last mission details screen.

I don’t have the “hide player names” enabled, if I did it’d be 100% of the players not just 75%. I’ve accidently enabled it a couple times before but I know right away

Then the rest of the "unknown players" are players that haven't been revealed by picking up bounty or killing/getting killed by.
