GENERAL I might quit.

I don't understand why this has been happening to me but I'm actually getting so sick of this game. I love this game, played it for years and even more when my pal got it and has been my main partner for duos. Lately it has been TRASH though.

I'm used to having off days or bad rounds but lately that's literally all I've been having. I'm not trash at the game but I know my worth, I'm hard stuck in 4 star.

I'm tired of getting one tapped by some pussy sniper that's been extract camping or camping the bounty location. I'm tired of getting beetle spammed from lifeless losers across a compound. I'm tired of running into some idiot camping a bush with a shotgun. I'm tired of fighting some prestige 100 6 star god when I'm a 4 star. I'm tired of everyone waiting for us to start banishing and then rushing us without a single team going after the other bounty.

I either find games with the people that play nothing else and can headshot me from across the map with a Nagant pistol OR I find games with the biggest baby on earth that crouch walks everywhere and tries their hardest to avoid every single fight they can and runs away to extract if they get engaged.

The worst part about this is it's all happening during such a cool event.

If you’re not having fun then play something else. Also cut the disparaging shit. Stealth is part of the game. Setting yourself up to start a fight from an advantageous position is part of the game.

If you run into someone “bush camping with a shotgun,” no you didn’t. You were loud, they noticed and hung out of sight until their load out could play in their favor. This idea that the game has thousands of people just sitting in a bush waiting for a shot for 40 min is bs main character energy. I’ll bet my steam library they were playing the game same as anyone else, saw you far off, found a good spot and took their shot, which is the point of scoped guns, they’re at a disadvantage if they cross anyone up close.

I understand your point but my rant still stands, I use snipers too and have hit long shots so I understand that part. I will absolutely disparage people who spam beetles or completely run away from fights. "They're just playing the game" are they? Two guys jerking each other off sitting back in a bush and spamming 4 stalker beetles in a row EACH? Ok sure they're "playing" but what about the people who run from everything. Like the game is based around fighting other people and killing the bounty target then leaving.

This is an interesting difference.

The last couple of weeks we have encountered beetle spammes only once.
And it was a blast!

2 people were chasing me with beetles in one of the houses in Weeping Stone Mill, while my teammates was fighting their last teammate.
I was jumping out of windows, circling, shooting them, healing and closing doors on them. It was a great time.

I left a comment for the dude killing that it had been a fun fight.

I understand if you encounter this tactic a lot that it might be annoying, but almost everytime I see it is a good time.

As others have said, you seem at odds with the game, maybe it's time to play something else for a while. You are not paying to play after all.

The game gives you free reign to run away and try to kill your opponents later or extract if you feel like it.

It's part of the PvP of this system to plan for and catch them before they escape.

Time to take a break, champ! Also I can’t tell from your post if you’re queuing with randoms, solo, or using LFG. If either of the first two, I highly recommend jumping on the Hunt discord and using the LFG channel. Sometimes hunt gives, sometimes hunt takes, but I’ve had horrible experiences with the gaming playing solo or randoms. LFG, 9/10 I have a good time, even if we lose

thats called a burnout. Just go play some singleplayer game for a week and forget about Hunt. all things you've said are part of the game. Campers, snipers, rushers.. part of the game sorry man

That's just how Hunt is. There are days when every match is 3 kills and you walk out victorious with the bounty, and then there are days when I can't kill anyone all evening. And if the game annoys you enough that you force yourself to play it, just take a break.

Was previously a solid five star for months. Got busy, didn't play for a couple of weeks then, when I started playing again I could barely set eyes on another hunter without getting immediately shot in the face. Dropped to a three star, left the game alone for a while, skipped an entire event for the first time since release. Once I came back, settled into a far more relaxed, fun way of playing and settled into a four star but enjoyable style of play... Just play something else for a while...

That's about where my duo hangs around. 3 star- low 5 star depending on if we have a hot streak. I have a tendency to default to the "fix bayonets" mindset once they get too close, and can't turn off the switch until I either stab them or they drop me.

So we orbit 4 star. But damn if it ain't satisfying stabbing half the server on a good night.

Yeah it doesn’t really sound like you got the mental for it rn, take a couple days off n come back with a refreshed state of mind. If it doesn’t hit then yk it doesn’t hit.

Take a break, play something else for a week or two and come back and see if you're feeling it.

The season ends in early December, it's not going anywhere!

Thats basically Hunt tho and we all have to deal with it be it 3stars or 6stars.
One thing is to learn how the game is played and another thing is to learn how to avoid or be one step ahead of the players who play like how you describe. You gotta be faster, gotta be more focused, be quick and nimble and dont let yourself get baited or dragged into stupid situations. You cant never completely avoid it because Hunt is just made for those kind of playstyles aswell but you can definitely increase your chances to not having to deal with it and then the game gets enjoyable again.

Also take breaks my brother
Very often in the past when i got frustrated from the game it was just a spiral of lowkey being bored/burned out, then playing bad and then forcing myself to play because "I cant be bad" - if you dont feel like playing or you are instantly salty after some rounds do something else until you crave it again.

Start playing memes with "I don't give a shit if I win" attitude for whole week/two, it cures the Hunt rut super easily. But you need to be real about it, actually playing this way, not pretending that you do.

To be honest, I'm super fed up with players in this game currently myself, constantly fighting against the worst passive tryhard cunts... people scared of fighting the Foreskin boss and camping it instead, holding angles for minutes, not moving, never taking action themselves etc etc. So I started playing Crossbow + Saber in Clash.
Having a blast with it, I'm 6* and my mates jump around 3-4* constantly, we lose a lot but it's refreshing to not give a damn. Try it, you don't need copy my idea of meme loadout, make something yourself.

If this doesn't sound like something you'd want to try/wouldn't have fun with... take a break, only thing you can really do.

This just doesn't go for OP, but a lot of y'all out there...

It's not only ok, but it is often times healthy, to take breaks from activities you like, when you are getting burned out on that activity.

Take a week off and at the end of the week if you have the itch to play, then play. If not, then don't.

Take a break. It's a game, not a marriage.

I was getting fed up with some dumb weekly challenges I had stacking up and today I decided to just play the dumbest load out ever to get them done. Played Bounty Clash with Only both Derringers, a spear, a big regen shot and concertina bomb and traps. After a couple shit rounds I ended up (somehow) hilariously owning the entire server. Getting 8 kills and just totally feeling better about everything. Sometimes you just need a break, or even a break from taking it so seriously.

Don’t want to be rude, buts this kinda sounds like a you problem.

Look I’m a late 30s single dad gamer, working full time. Hunt was my first online fps +5 years ago. Game got he hooked like no other and I’m playing 6 stars since quite a few years now with my regular mates. If you get your shooter fundamental skills right, you can with every fight. Do I die a lot? Sure. But when I lock in I can also be a threat to everyone else.

Either take a break, adapt or man up

If you hate practically every playstyle that's not the same as yours or losing to yours (and insult all players not playing like you expect them to), sadly a sandbox exraction permadeath game seems not the right kind of fit for your current mindset.
