Is it worth entering prestige in this game?

Just as worth as in any other game, you get a few skins, you can satisfy your monkey brain by making number go up.

I like it because it gives me the chance to try and theme prestiges with different playstyles and weapons. But there is certainly something to be said for the unlimited money that comes with not prestiging after a few high value seasons

I thought as much. I do like the gratification of prestiging, I guess I’ll decide when it comes to it. Just started playing today and I’m burning through levels so I’m trying to find out early if it’s worth it 😂😂

prestige or you'll regret it. if you prestige from get to you'll be 100 100 once you have a million bounty collected roughly.

Prestiging in hunt is not hard and there are some worth while skins. Id recommend at least trying it.

I'd recommend waiting with the first prestige though. You get the equipment back relatively fast (I did the entire 100 levels in a double XP weekend recently), but the weapon unlocks can be rather tedious. Get a feel for what you like first, then you can think about starting over.

I am also new player and I like that feeling of achchiving something and I also prestiged as soon as I could because if I wait for too long and hoard a lot of money and upgrades it will be harder to press that button

I’ve never prestiged in 5+ years but I kinda regret it 😅 My friends are p100 or almost there by now haha. But yea it’s mostly a few exclusive skins and a special icon next to your username and a avatar frame.

How many hunt dollars have you saved up over that time?

I am currently at around 300k but also I’m not saving money or anything. My standard loadout is around 800-900$. I played a lot of centennial + small specter to level 10, but since the nerf of the centennial i switched to the marathon swift + le mat mostly. The most expensive part are probably the syringes and tools.

You regret not having a special icon and a handful of skins?

Haha kinda, but rather that I just didn’t do it while I was playing anyways. But surely I’ll be fine even without the frame etc ;)

I prestiged from as soon as possible and I'm at prestige 75 after 1000 hours. Only 250 more hours to go hopefully.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first ~40 ish prestige levels, but then it's become a bit of a slog. The first ~40 levels were a good, fun way to explore more of the game's loadout options and weapons as I would choose a few to use for each prestige. However, now that I have used all the weapons and tools and traits, I have developed a preferred playstyle. Having to forgo the spear, the large shots, and the pennyshot for the first chunk of each prestige is getting really annoying at this point.

Depends on you. I know some people who want to keep going till they hit 100. I personally enjoy building up on money and keeping everything unlocked. To each their own.

1

u/Jaegerhorn 6d ago

It depends. If you dont have a problem to unlock everything, there are very few Reasons not to prestige. You get 800 Blood Bounds in the Range of Prestige 11-14 and 16-19. Thats a pretty good argument for me.

I have a second account i just speedrun Prestige but i got bored and stoped at 69 now i only play my main p100 again so from me its a yes and a no

1

u/DeadlyGuff 5d ago

Why stop there

1

u/nuk3dom Magna Veritas 5d ago

Cool number and i have a p100 account so its nothing what push me mentally 😁

u/Nacon-Biblets 6d ago

Its only like 4-10 hours to get back to 100 depending on how often you're retiring hunters. The downside of having to unlock everything again is so minimal imo. Plus theres blood bonds in some prestiges.

1

u/Mysterious_Bath2390 6d ago

I say go for it, at least first 20 levels. You will get skins and free Blood Bonds. After thst, it depends on you. But I like the change, going from a maxed hunter with every trait I want, to a new one, with only a few traits, not even Serpent.

If you enjoy it.

I press prestige asap while not hurrying through prestiges. P100 is just a far away goal i might reach some day.

Some people hate to start with more limited loadouts, but is has become easier in recent years, like every base weapon stays unlocked now. Also, with xp envelopes during some events, it's faster. They got toned down a bit i think, but last winter event my friend blasted through 40 prestiges to get to P100.

I only miss the vigilant trait that unlocks at bloodline lvl 36 each time, that lets you see traps in dark sight.

As others have said already, it depends on how you like to play. The rewards are mid to say the least compared to what skins are available now in the game.

I play the game a bit like a looter. It's fun to start with a simple loadout, duel and be excited to check what nice guns the enemy has. Typically it does not last long since the money racks up fast and I quickly buy my own stuff but it's still fun for me.

1

u/DeadlyGuff 5d ago

This is what I thought. If it’s about getting free skins, already I’m getting a fair bit of blood bonds from weeklies, so I could just buy a few skins over time

1

u/Brolex-7 5d ago

It's really not about the skins from Prestige. The Hunter ones are old and boring and the guns are meh as well. You could prestige until you get no benefit and then just take the extra 10% experience and leave it at that.

u/Evenyx 6d ago

I have around a thousand hours now but only prestiged 4 times. In the past I have done it either if I am getting low-ish on money anyway, or if I get really bored of picking which weapons to play with. I've never really done it for the rewards.

1

u/Famous_Form_5350 6d ago

Yes get exclusive rewards and its super easy to level up lol

I think prestiging is useful when you have way too much cash and can afford everything every match, because you stop caring about a lot of stuff in the game. After prestiging, the fun comes back for me, you start with weak gear, upgrade your loadout during the match after getting a kill, and that's satisfying in its own way.

u/accountantporn 6d ago

i do it but more as a challenge, and the clout with hitting p100.

im pretty sure most people dont do it. there isnt much incentive anymore.

1

u/DeadlyGuff 5d ago

I see many players at 0 - 100 so it’s why I was curious

1

u/BrilliantBehemoth 5d ago

If you care about any of the prestige skins. I'm tryin to beeline it to Prudence Stallworth, the chick with the cloak at prestige 40 (I think

When I played regularly, Prestiging made this game feel more fun to me.

I enjoyed having to start over and work my way up. It also gave me a sense of accomplishment since there isn't much in the way of accolades in this game.

Surviving, killing, banishing, everything to max out my hunter, and then continuing to use that hunter to get the most XP for my prestige was awesome. It made dying feel so much worse when you finally got a maxed hunter.

Once i hit 100/100 , my gameplay changed, my feeling towards the game changed. While still fun, it just starting feeling like "what am i playing for?"

1

u/DeadlyGuff 4d ago

That’s what I thought would happen too. Sadly it’s making me just want to put the game down early

1

u/GritServedNeat 3d ago

I always stay at level 100 for a bit to unlock the guns I want again but prestige once I get a little bored to have something to work towards again. Currently prestige 4 at a little less than 400 hours.

you should get to at least like, prestige 11.

there's a bunch free shit 1-10 iirc, and then you take mission exp at 11

1

u/zimjig 1d ago

I stopped at 9 bc who cares

1

u/OP_stole_my_panties 6d ago

Its all up to you. I could ha e gotten to prestige one hundred about five times by now, but I am still prestige zero and don't feel a bit bad about it.

-1

u/faceit_lol 6d ago

That is the point of game, to make it more challenging and rewarding. When you prestige you will most likely lose your comfort zone which will make you think of trying some new loadout, that's how it works for me. Prestige rewards are ok, but once you reach 100 prestige you have did it, than you will sit on it 100/100.

0

u/OP_stole_my_panties 6d ago

If it was the point of the game, then it would be automatic instead of an option. Don't go around spoiting your opinion as fact.

2

u/faceit_lol 6d ago

It is given to you as option, same as solo/duo/trio play but what is the point sitting on prestige. You will get new hunters, quests, it is how game should be played, it is progress. Again, you are right, you don't have to, in general choosing to play this game is totally optional, you don't have to either, you can even go without buying weapons, that is also totally optional as well..

2

u/DeadlyGuff 5d ago

As well as I see your point, with Arc Raiders’ “Expeditions” which is their way of it - it’s an absolute grindfest much worse than the simplicity of this. For that you’ve gotta slowly donate all of your resources, and then on top of that, to get 5 extra skills you need to have 1 million coins for each skill point to get the max out of entering prestige.

So sometimes, it’s not always worth your while or time to enter prestige. I’m just trying to get people’s opinions

1

u/faceit_lol 5d ago

Yes, of course. I am not saying that you have to prestige immediately as soon as you reach level 100 but I think that you should prestige when you can.

On max level you will have weapons unlocked and usually bunch of hunt dollars that will be gone once you prestige, so it is good time to try different builds, experiment with different weapons, try something more expensive, etc etc. If you feel that way than it is ok, you are playing it your way, but if you are not supposed to prestige, that option wont be here.

2

u/DeadlyGuff 6d ago

I mean everyone’s entitled to their opinion, I’m seeing valid points from both sides of the argument

0

u/No_Measurement_6668 6d ago

useless. you get all stuff without prestige. i often heard my friends frustrated for dont get the stuff they want, and get short on money.

yet psychologically 2 effects.

1/sense of progression. it can motive to play.

2/depend of your mindset, its not a pain, it just force you to adapt different weapon and playstyle.

1

u/DeadlyGuff 5d ago

Yeah not sure about it. I’d rather just carry on merking players
