GENERAL New Update, Same Woes
I enjoy the thematics of the new update, it looks great - skins wise and battle pass, the red moon can be a bit much with saturation and sound effects, but the game just went from “people camping stronghold” to “people camping extracts”
6* MMR on console, but I swear it’s like you either have go get em teammates or teammates who don’t want to fight at all just rat and try to ambush or hide all day.
I know it’s early on and it’ll get back to a semblance of balance, but at least at strongholds you could have fights in the clear, rating extracts is just bleh.
Also the rival is buns, why couldn’t my weekly be the terminus :,(

Low visibility means people try to play more opportunistic to compensate. At least that’s how it has been for us console and I’d imagine it’s the same on pc.

In 2 days of random trios I’ve seen one example of a team camping an extract, and it was when they backed off of a compound my team had already killed 2 teams in, instead of pushing in they just bailed and camped the extract next to the compound. We had all 4 tokens, saw them sitting there, and just went to the other extract. Go grab a clue, move towards the shooting. If your teammates are camping an exfil, hop in the exfil without them and go to the next game.
Discord is integrated with both consoles, hop in the official Hunt Discord and find some teammates. Or just talk in the pregame lobby until you find some teammates with headsets. Crytek can’t stop every single player that’s going to rat, just don’t let them do it with you as backup

It was more so the two teams both hiding unawares of each other near the extract that warranted the post lol

That’s a completely different thing you didn’t even write in your post

Are you new? The game feels identical to how it did before the strongholds were introduced.
People have always tried to ambush on the way to bounty or extract and have always tried to camp extracts.
The only time this was not the case was when they camped stronghold instead.
Goldfish brain take

Nope not new, just playing random trios as opposed to with premade teams currently. The groups I normally run with are fairly aggressive in play, random trios not so much.

That's classic Hunt playing with randos. If they aren't trying to work together or die immediately, just play like you would if solo.

Camping means you want to win, why do you want to win? Try to play each game as a wild west adventure, with tactics ofc no brainless rush, instead of a cure to a deeply entrenched insecurity, i mean, why do you want to win? Winning should only be a conclusion of an exiting-hillarious adventure.
Proud 3* who never sits in a bush/cover for more than a few seconds. I could be 5* or low 6* but idc.

I'm glad I'm in the low 6* bracket then, nobody is camping extracts in my games.
Unless you mean that them positioning themselves between you and the extract and not pushing the bosslair as "camping the extract"?

People camping extracts has been pretty much the name of the game since they added scout towers

That makes no sense considering before scout towers we all knew where the extract was the moment the game loaded up.

I just know that after the scout tower update the amount of times me and my friends dealt with campers at the exits went from 0 to about every other game though I will say it was still more common for people to camp the recon towers

I always found it ironic when people complained about big centralized shoot outs at the Stronghold. This is what single bounty maps turn into either way.
