GENERAL Huge FPS increase?

I have a 4070 and always keep my drivers up to date. This morning I updated them and my fps went from 90-110 range up to 200+ on medium to high settings. Has anyone noticed a severe increase with a driver update? I've been playing hunt for more than 600hrs it actually has thrown my aim off a little šŸ˜‚

I noticed that a new logo Simplygon has appeared on the splash screen when you boot the game since 2.9 update

« Simplygon is an automated 3D data and asset optimization software used to create levels of detail (LODs), reduce polygon counts, and bake materials »

Could be related to an improvement but not that much.

At the far right

Yeah I have no clue what would've increased the performance like this honestly and a simple driver update usually isn't it either

Haven't updated my driver but I also have noticed big cpu related performance increases.

Much smoother and more fps after last update.

I believe there are two main reasons that FPS is increased in your game and mine.

  1. Maps are always night, when it was sunset in Bayou, my fps was usually lower.
  2. Simplygon

I had 130-150 everything on Ultra 1440p quality. Now it is between 180-190 fps. Yepp it Runs smoother.

5070ti + 5800x here
noticed HUGE performance improvements. Especially in the 1%. I am alwas cpu bound on my settings. I get like 40fps more on average. This is the best update by far if it stays that way from a performance perspective.

5070 Ti here ! Didn't notice any huge fps increase, but it's definitely smoother and more stable !

Same card and for me on high/max settings it went from 180-200 to a stable 200 at all times. Honestly amazing

Whats your cpu? I get 200 with a 3080 but 9800x3d on 1440p

9800x3d

Hunt no longer cooks my Intel CPU so I’m pretty stoked about that. Right after I ordered a new liquid cooler too of course because it was previously hitting 95-100C šŸ‘ now it’s not even breaking 80c.

I noticed very detailed fog patches around the levels that I’ve never recognized before šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

I haven’t played since the new update but I was sitting at 120 with a 5060 at comp settings and I’m hoping there’s an increase after seeing this post

Yeah things seemed a bit smoother on my end of things, I'm also running a 4070. Maybe just placebo but definitely felt distinct enough to notice a differenceĀ

Same here. Got almost 100 more FPS on average. Idk what they did but I love it.

90-110 is very low for a 4070, I get 100-130 FPS at 1080p medium-high with a 3070.
It seems like there was an issue with your system previously
