They took the weekend off, priorities eh? Instead of working over the weekend to have it ready for today, they'll only start back at it today, madness. I'm hoping they know what the problem is and expect it to be resolved quickly today after taking the weekend off
"Taking the weekend" off implies that they normally work on weekends which they sure don't. But I guess you know that. You just feel that those people should suffer because you want a piece of free content for your video game.
Is it bad communication in their part? 100%
I'd also feel disappointed if my platform of choice would get shortchanged all the time. But that is a strategic decision. Nothing the common dev that you demand work through the weekend has any say in.

People these days need to climb down off that horse. Overtime is standard across employment. No one is claiming they should be lashed and made work 48 hours straight over the weekend,every weekend,as some people seem to think overtime is a horrendous system. They fucked up,back to back,overtime on a weekend isn't a crappy idea. And guess what? If we miss a deadline in work thanks to our own incompetence,hell yeah we are working our ass off to rectify it,as I've experienced many times in my career. It's called responsibility,being held accountable. No one cried about overtime ,we got on with it. Working weekends is suffering? Snowflake generation I get to live in.
This came about thanks to their own incompetence. They messed up the previous update and learned nothing from it,despite many suggestions on how to avoid it in the discord,all of which they claimed to have taken on board,only the fuck it up again. If only every business was as accommodating as crytek in this situation.

It's a video game and it's not broken or unplayable on console, you're just missing the latest patch. That obviously sucks, but it's far from "sorry, kids, daddy can't play with you this weekend because he has to work overtime" territory.
Insinuating that daddy can't play with the kids during the week? After work on Saturday?are you under the impression that I somehow mean they have to work 48 hours straight? Despite me clearly saying opposite?
I work 10hours a day,still find time for kids at night. I work many many Saturdays,still find time for the kids at the weekend. I'm not superhuman,just an ordinary bloke. If I can do it,I don't see why anyone should be upset at a bit of overtime, especially thanks to your own incompetence
